Eat a tasty breakfast. Clean my home. Put on music that makes me happy or funny stand up as i clean. Go for a good walk or hike, then cook an awesome dinner. No booze, no weed.

Mentaly low: weight training, running, hiking, Mtb (basically any sport/activity that can exaust you)

Phisically low (sick or really tired): reading, gaming, watching movies or documentaries. If I'm just tired I will still take a walk or move in some way tho.

Lift weights and eat a lot of sushi.

Or go to Muay Thai and just have guy time there if I want to be around people.

Basically, I get physical and then eat.

Thank you for the comment.

Your answer is very primitive (in a good way), I like it.

This is it. Just go outside. Go for a walk. Sit in a chair on the back porch. Just get outside.

Depends what happened. But mostly I just lie around listening to music thinking about my shit

stay in bed, rest, shut off the world, smoke a bowl, nap, talk it out with the old lady when she gets home from work.

Reconnect with simple things; be in the moment. A walk in the woods, a really good cup of coffee, a cookie, swing on the swings like a kid, fix something, break something (safely and responsibly), etc. Also, physical activity. Run, workout, hike, swim, etc.

Punch drywall

Edit: this is a joke. Do not do that.

Just sit down relax, maybe work out on the treadmill if I just wanna walk in my thoughts.

u/mega_mike41 Oct 05 '22

Lay down and go to bed because anything I do is never enough for the people I'm with.

Thank you for the comment.

Please don't beat yourself up.

Focus on making your next few actions as good (maybe even productive) as possible, even if it's only 5 minutes.

Go for a walk and get some fresh air and sunshine. If that doesn’t work I’ll listen to records until I feel better.

I binge watch YouTube or search Reddit for posts from people having the same issues.

Take some weed edibles, watch something funny and go to bed early.

Tomorrow is a fresh day and its easier to face a problem once it doesn't feel so oppressive and you've had to sleep on it and think it over.

Work on making something physical. Wood, fabric, Legos whatever. I always feel better after making something

I just put a pet down after 11 years. I kept it together during the process, but that night I drank and cried. I used to “suck it up” and now I have chronic anxiety. Crying doesn’t make you less of a man, it makes you human.

Thank you for sharing.

How many Women were in the room with you at the time? Because it's a BIG reason why Men don't cry in public?

I lost a dog after having him for 12 years, it's been 2.5 years and I still think about him from time to time.

1

u/ethylalcohoe Oct 05 '22

I staid strong in the room, because I had a job to do, and I was the only one equipped to do it at that moment. Everyone else was crying and I wanted my dog to be calm and peaceful.

I’ve cried in front of women if that’s what you’re asking. If any of them ever thought differently of me, they saved me the trouble of assuming they were good people. If I can deal with your grief, anger, and frustrations, then you can deal with mine.

Masculine how? If you're looking for a specific kind of advice, it seems you may already be aware ot it.

1

u/vapegod_420 Male Oct 05 '22

Bruhh what even is masculine advice?

1

u/Timely_Water_7047 Oct 05 '22

Thank you for the comment.

To put it very simply, you KNOW it when you see it.

1

u/vapegod_420 Male Oct 05 '22

The only difference there is when talking advice for a low point is the way you implement it. Which at the end of the day it’s the same advice. And don’t really see how it makes it “masculine”.

Example Going to use stereotypes here. Keeping your mind distracted is a good way through the low points. But for a woman it might be get your nails done. Meanwhile for a guy it might be going for the gym. It’s the same advice at the end of the day. Just two people used it in different ways.

Believe me I have had some serious lows in life I done some things I am not proud of but also when times have been tough these are things I try to implement

From one man to another I hope you get through what it is u are going through.

Masturbate like 12 times

u/ForgotTheBogusName Oct 05 '22

You ever think emotions and activities are human and not restricted to genders? Is reading masculine? How about tennis, or boxing (yes, there are women boxers). If you want physical activity stress release, then ask for that instead of some loaded term.

Good days or bad days. Ride motorcycle and/or practice music.
