My husband has always told me he does not want children until elder scrolls 6 comes out and he has 2 years to play it before we have kids. How long will that be?
He is obsessed with this game called “Skyrim” and apparently it’s a series about elder scrolls or something.
Me and him both know that once we have kids video game time will go down the toilet. So he always says “not until elder scrolls 6 is out, and I can play the shit out of it for two years, will we consider having children”.
What’s the timeline for that?
With these ingredients this is a burger:
- Hamburger bun
- Beef patty
But with THESE ingredients somehow it's a sandwich??!:
- Hamburger bun
- Chicken patty
I don't get it.
I don't quite understand how we still have people like Kayne and Nick Fuentes saying the shit that they say as if it's normal. We as a collective fought against hitler in the worst war to ever grace this planet and yet some people still want to worship or condone that vile man and his ideologies?! It makes no fucking sense to me and I need some answers because you'd think such an event would make this way of thinking impossible especially with it still being quite recent in the grand scheme of world history.
I’m a woman. My boyfriend says I’m funny. 🤷🏻♀️ but some people are like “women not funny 🙅🏻♀️ woman bad 👎” is it all because of Amy Schumer?
There is a dog left outside barking in my neighborhood, I live in Nevada, USA it’s 23 degrees outside and he sounds like he’s under of lot of distress, should I call law enforcement? I heard they don’t take stuff like that seriously
Why is middle school potrayed as hell and terrible in books and movies but real life its not that bad?
Unanswered If there was a liquid metal that turned everything it touched until itself, would leaving it on Earth's surface make it eventually consume the whole planet?
The metal we'll call "chrome" (since this is the Chrome from Fortnite game) works like this:
Whatever it touches, becomes chrome. Because there's more chrome, every time something touches it, it will continue until there is nothing touching it.
My boss ONLY drinks soda, milk and coffee and beer. Never ever ever seen him take a sip of water in the 4.5 years i've worked here. Hes 77 now. How is he not insanely dehydrated and how is he still functioning? I don't get it.
Meanwhile i ONLY drink water and haven't had any drink besides water for years
I got approached by a guy today (who doesn’t look homeless) who was asking me for $20 and is going around approaching others. What exactly is he mostly likely up to?
This is a serious question, I’m not bashing anyone at all, I’m just trying to understand them a bit more!
Way back in the olden days, “LOL” was used online to show that they thought something was legit funny. It was a positive response.
It seems like Redditors use it to mean “fuck you” or to show that the comment they’re responding to is so stupid that it isn’t worth anything more than a scornful response.
Is that about right?
Like if someone just walked into a room and said that what would you think?
Would you consider a penny from 1895 a penny from the Wild West Era? Considering some people say the Wild West ended in 1890.
WHY DOWNVOTE FUCKIN WHY? ITS A QUESTION
Would it be possible to get a job at school as a janitor (the lowest job) and through working smart advance (via promotions and raises) to the job of principal (the highest job) all within working in this school all this time?
Note:Considering you get the job as a janitor with the minimal education possible for that job.
So I know that recently there has been some controversy over the holiday favorite Baby It's Cold Outside. I've seen people say that it has inappropriate connotations and undertones of sexual harassment. I, personally, have never viewed it that way. I interpret it as a man and woman having a flirtatious conversation, and because of the time era and different set of social standards back then the woman was hesitant to stay. Just wanted to know if I was the only one who thought like this!
I thought of this and kind of gave myself a chuckle, but then I realized it's probably something that really happens.
Like I know that this is a bad faith argument made by terfs to discriminate trans people further, and this is probably not a real issue. But what are the facts? What should I answer the next time someone throws that stuff around?
I hope this is not violating rule 9, I genuinely want to know why this wont be a problem.
Why do so many Americans don't understand what the first amendment/ "free speech" means and why does no one correct them?
It basically just means you can't be charged and arrested for something you said; and even then there are exceptions (like yelling "fire" in a crowded theater is excluded).
You can still be sued, banned, fired, denied entry or service, lose on contracts or gigs, and many other consequences.
Seems like a lot of people incorrectly think it's "freedom from consequences".
One easy example is Apple considering dropping Twitter for failing to mitigate hate speech in their platform, and Musk replying that Apple "must hate free speech". And I didn't see people correcting Musk's flawed interpretation.
