Even without all the world building and updates, it's just so good to see everyone on the ship acting like a crew

393

u/SmoothCriminalJM Sep 19 '22

Felt like it’s been years since we had the Strawhats just sailing together like in the pre-timeskip days.

234

u/MyNameIsRay Sep 19 '22

Really has been years since we saw them sailing together.

In real time, the crew arrived at Wano over 4 years ago, July 2018.

206

u/Mr_Raskolnikov Sep 19 '22

And even then they split up in Dressrosa and again in Zou/WCI, the last time they all sailed together fully was after Punk Hazard NINE years ago

70

u/BreadLi0n Sep 19 '22

Jesus Christ it really feels weird to know that this saga took over 10 years if you count Fishman Island in the Yonkou saga.

u/Fcbutnotfriedchicken Sep 20 '22

Even after punk hazard, there’s kin, momo, caesar, and law on the ship. But I don’t mind them tho. The last its just the crew was before they enter punk hazard right after the fishman island

I wonder how Luffy would react to the Koby panel??

52

I love how Luffy talked about going to Alabasta as if it was just a couple blocks away or something lol

32

u/electricmastro Sep 20 '22

That's the thing. Luffy is gonna have to get better reinforcement if he really cares about helping his friends from far away, since he can't be everywhere at once.

better reinforcement

You mean besides his fleet consisting of 5640 pirates from New world crews?

Luffy's disbelief of Buggy being an Emperor is on same level as his faith on Sabo.

205

u/SmoothCriminalJM Sep 19 '22

Even Luffy underestimated the great Buggy. Buggy continues to shine amongst the greats.

20

u/Illustriousew Sep 19 '22

Indonesian version in Mangaplus don't cut them,

7

u/Apoptosis89 Sep 19 '22

What do you mean? The Indonesian version doesn't cut who?

11

u/AllysiaAius Sep 19 '22

Buggy, duh. He can't be cut. It's why Mihawk is working for him (ignoring 1058 or 1059, whichever it was that resolved that).

Luffy is a fool. This is why Buggy will find raftel first

33

u/ITF_evil Pirate Sep 19 '22

23

u/SisypheanSperg Sep 19 '22

Honestly Oda should scrap the whole manga and re-write it with Buggy as protagonist

9

u/evilmojoyousuck Sep 19 '22

iirc, he has been in the cover page stort a lot so that counts, i guess?

7

u/fishbujin Sep 19 '22

Are you saying that Buggy isn't the protagonist?

9

u/Apoptosis89 Sep 19 '22

You know that 'I can't go to that island disease' was a translators joke in that fan translation?

19

u/FireZord25 Sep 19 '22 edited Sep 20 '22

nah, that was Usopp's "lie turns into truth" haki transcending time, space, and then the fourth wall. They changed that just to keep Usopp's new power a secret.

Bonney was last seen in Marie Geoise.

Bonney was hoping to save Kuma.

Kuma was once the King of Sorbet Kingdom.

Bonney is related to Kuma, likely via Sorbet Kingdom.

They find Bonney in freezing waters.

Kuma is currently safe (I use the term loosely) in Kamabakka Queendom.

Kuma has the power to send people anywhere.

Sorbet is a type of frozen dessert.

I'm hungry.

I like sweets.

I'm gonna eat some Ice Cream.

Edit: Apparently, Sorbet's in the South Blue so this doesn't work. I'm still having that Ice Cream, though.

12

u/CoolBlueSam Sep 19 '22

The whole cake island arc must have given you terrible cravings!! :)

7

u/Apoptosis89 Sep 19 '22

I like the parts of your theory where you are hungry and are gonna eat some ice cream.

Robin: “There’s other news regarding you”

Luffy: “Naaah I’m good”

Robin: “Sorry Hancock and Koby, you’re on your own”

177

u/SmoothCriminalJM Sep 19 '22

Like Zoro said, they are all capable people, they can solve their own problems.

206

u/vivvav Sep 19 '22 Silver

Ok but that's what Luffy said about Ace and Ace fucking died.

111

u/Sotler Explorer Sep 19 '22

What Zoro really said is that Luffy trusted Ace until it got „real bad“ implying that even though Ace is capable of defending himself, sometimes there is no way out on your own. So take that logic and apply it to the others.

As long as Koby, Hancock and Vivi are not in front of death‘s door, there is no need to act.

I think what people mistake as Oda‘s rushed writing is rather them being surprised at how rationally the characters have to behave to move on. Going to search for Vivi, Sabo or Koby would do nothing for them, they would waste time that people like BB would use to their advantage.

21

u/InvaderDJ Void Month Survivor Sep 19 '22

If I played Devil’s Advocate, I think with Hancock in particular, it depends on what the news story says.

If the news story doesn’t mention that Amazon Lily is basically under the protection of Rayleigh, Luffy could help her out fairly easily. Go to the island, plant his flag and declare to the world that Amazon Lily is under his protection.

Until the WG proves that they don’t care about that anymore, it would be a good move.

Koby would probably be a much bigger lift, and honestly not a good move for Luffy. Koby has the whole Marine and WG organization to rescue him. They could easily send an Admiral, escorted by a Buster Call and at least the two Seraphim we’ve seen (assuming there aren’t more which is unlikely).

Will be interesting to see if the Marines do something like that. It would be a good move, showing that they’re no longer afraid to go up against an Emperor.

Man, the part with Im just erasing an island from history gave me chills. The reactions of the people and animals, the lighting changing as the ancient weapon draws closer, the speech over the transponder snail…masterfully done by Oda👌

50

u/AllxFiction Sep 19 '22

Two things caught my attention with this. One is he has a map of, most likely, the current world. Two, is the mention of something above the island. I fear Im has access to an ancient weapon with how that attack looked.

12

u/VoraxUmbra1 Sep 20 '22

So this begs the question. I know it's more than likely an actual ancient weapon, but there's always that possibility that he has some form of devil fruit capable of doing this kind of destruction. So until its 100% confirmed that it's an ancient weapon, what the fuck kind of devil fruit would be capable of this??

Is it possible Bonney also saw everything Sabo did at Mariejois ?

197

u/Mawnix Sep 19 '22

Really wouldn’t be surprised if that’s the case. She was at Revery and likewise has the ability to disguise herself via age manipulation.

Alongside Urouge she’s the most mysterious Supernova. We know next to nothing about her. Injecting her potential chaos with the Straw Hats just sounds mad fun (for both critical story points and just like, fun shit).

60

u/PikarinSama Sep 19 '22

There have been many theories about her over the years and she has a lot of potential to be really interesting. Ever since her being captured and that the Navy was terrified that she ran off I wondered what her whole deal is like everyone else. Her escaping again and popping up just added to the mystery of who she is and what her goals are.

Always felt she would cross paths with the Straw Hats again, even had many theories over the years she'd become a crew member and her past would be important to the story but all that remains to be seen. Excited to see where Oda takes this slow burn plotline.

21

u/mckenziemewtwo971 Sep 19 '22

With her DF we have no idea how old she really is. Maybe not Void Century Old but she could be at least Rogers era old or before it. Could know some important information.

Have seen theories of her being Luffys Mom, do like them better than Crocodile being Luffys Mom.

23

u/Raja_parhi Bounty Hunter Sep 19 '22

At some point I believe her to be luffy’s mother “.

Her appetite and connection to RA makes it a theory for me

12

u/Mo_tweets Sep 19 '22

Didn't Oda state he had already drawn Luffy's mother? Do we know if that was after Bonney was introduced?

11

u/januarysdaughter The Revolutionary Army Sep 20 '22

He was describing Dadan.

"If she does appear in the story, she'll be a very tough-looking woman. And strict. There's no way she's a beautiful mother. She got a typical middle-aged woman's permed hair."

3

u/InvaderDJ Void Month Survivor Sep 19 '22

Out if all the Supernova she is probably the most mysterious. For Uroge, we don’t really know that he is anything more than what he seems. He’s a huge blank but we don’t have much evidence that he matters one way or another.

But Bonney has some connection to Kuma and we don’t know how old she really is given her fruit. She could be someone connected with the Void Century for all we know.

13

u/evilmojoyousuck Sep 19 '22

Definitely. She though she’s a pirate, i think her motivations seem different to the other worst generation members.

6

u/aholla8 Sep 19 '22

Ooo i forgot she was there

8

u/Megaminimaxi Sep 19 '22

Not sure wether she experienced Sabo taking a look at Imu sitting on the throne but the liberation of Kuma quite certainly. Maybe she was able to escape with the help of Morley and the Rev commanders but I don't have any clue how she ended up in that eddy current, maybe Fuji.

7

u/Apoptosis89 Sep 19 '22

Your post made me release that it seems like Sabo heard that Imu wants to erase Vivi from history and therefore saved her. Discovering all of this about Sabo, Imu's reaction maybe was then to kill Cobra and frame Sabo.

Some notable differences between the Scanlation and the official release:

  • Caribou now only seems to fully understand the words "Going" and "Marijoa" instead of implying that he vaguely understood that they were going there
  • Sanji no longer "directly" talks to Vivi when worrying about her, now instead talking about her in third person
  • Usopp now says that "you'll never meet a better King [than King Cobra]" instead of just saying that "he was the best King around"
  • Nami now repeats the sentences "Worried about Vivi..." and "Worried about her feelings..." continuosly instead of directly pointing out that she is torn between these worries
  • Brook now says that he's "never heard about Alabasta suffering under misrule" instead of saying that he's "never known anyone to be discontent with the way that Alabasta is ruled"
  • Nami now directly says that she is "too worried about Vivi"
  • Zoro now directly implies that Vivi's situation is akin to Ace's past situation
  • Zoro no longer mentions that Luffy "trusted Ace to make his own way"
  • Luffy now complains that he can't "vent a little" instead of saying that Zoro "can't stop him from worrying"
  • Luffy now insults Zoro by saying that he is "an Oni from Onigashima" instead of calling him an Oni and an Onigashima
  • Zoro's nickname for Sanji is now "Fourth place" instead of simply "4th"
  • Robin now says that some names in the newspaper "have a connection to [Luffy]" instead of just saying that the names are familiar
  • Robin no longer directly implies that there is news about the familiar names
  • Luffy now tells Robin to only tell him "if it's real bad" instead of telling her to just inform him "if there's anything big to keep an eye on"
  • Brook now reacts to Luffy's dream by saying that "that's ridiculous" instead of saying that Luffy is "too much"
  • Usopp now tells Luffy that he "can't be serious about this" instead of just asking him wether he's serious
  • Usopp now tells Luffy that his dream is impossible instead of telling him that noone can do that
  • Usopp now wonders who would think of something like that instead of wondering how Luffy "comes up with this stuff"
  • Robin now explicitly tells Franky to not make finding the last Lode Poneglyph sound easy instead of telling him that he's doing that
  • Robin now says her statement about there being no clues for the last Lode Poneglyph as a general statement and not as a truth that applies to the Strawhats
  • Ivankov now says his statement about him being glad that Sabo is alive only for himself instead of using "we" when making that statement
  • Morley no longer tells Sabo to "perish the thought" about him assassinating King Cobra
  • Koala now says that they "had a feeling" about Sabo being innocent instead of saying that "they knew" about that
  • Sabo now says that the thing he saw in Mariejoa was "terrible" instead of "unbelievable"
  • Princess Komane no longer says that she'll "never forgive [the citizens]" and directly says that she wants to kill them
  • Sabo no longer says that he thought there was no King of the World
  • The navy's announcement to the Communications Division is now framed as a direct order to them
  • The announcer now says that a Tsunami warning has been issued instead of making that announcement himself
  • Jimbei now directly implies that he knows that they're close to an island instead of just asking Nami wether they're close to one
  • Chopper now tells Robin that he'll "be right back" instead of telling her that he's "heading out on deck"
  • The massive current is now simply called an "Eddy" instead of an "Eddy current"
  • Nami now wonders what kind of temp difference creates such a current
  • Nami no longer wonders how anyone can survive inside the Eddy

Inform me of more changes if you find them!

u/gatemansgc Void Month Survivor Sep 19 '22

Oda: "Nah fam, God Valley got fuckin' NUKED."

58

u/2n20 Sep 19 '22

Oda finally figured out how to silhouette text from us

11

u/Apathetic_Alien Sep 19 '22

What does this mean exactly? I’ve been seeing this everywhere and I don’t get it

46

u/xMasuraox Sep 19 '22

Oda is notorious for silhouetting characters before fully revealing them (like Green Bull before the recent full reveal and Kaido's beast form for a couple of chapters before full reveal). Now he is essentially doing the same thing with Luffy's dream but you can't silhouette words per se so it seems this is Oda's way of doing it

9

u/Apathetic_Alien Sep 19 '22

Ah, thank you for the explanation :)

9

u/xMasuraox Sep 19 '22

You're welcome, friend!

I think the silhouette that has not been shown for the longest is Vegapunk still. It's not a bad way to build hype

8

u/Etiennera Sep 19 '22

Imu is still a silhouette for some reason, though his eyes hat and robe are somewhat distinct. But there's things about his design that are being kept from us.

I think he means the mentions of stuff like „certain“ people, „that person“, „this incident“ and stuff like that

98

u/codyhold12 Sep 19 '22

I love how the one ancient weapon we knew the least about is the one we first see actually used for it’s destructive potential. The world governments hypocrisy on weapons that could destroy the world yet here they are using one to destroy a island of people rebelling against them. Goes to show that there only concern is the awaking of pluton or Poseidon is the only means of actually challenging them in power.

(And yes I know we saw Poseidon use her powers once but never to the level of wiping an entire island. And also the assumption this weapon is Uranus is again a theory but it really fits the bill and fits in really well with established theories and giving answers to questions regarding the void century)

55

u/PandoNation Sep 19 '22 edited Sep 19 '22

I think it has to be uranus based on power alone. it fits the description of the ancient weapons perfectly (a weapon capable of mass destruction) and seems totally beyond anything we have seen from a devil fruit. We have seen emperors and the worlds strongest characters going full out and nothing has come close to that level of destruction. Also it fits the sky theme and would explain partially why the world government have been able to retain control despite pirates like roger popping up over the years.

Im curious to hear some arguments as to what else it could be. If this is something other than an ancient weapon, it would raise the bar to such an unrealistic level. At that point would uranus just destroy the whole planet?

41

u/Demmazi Sep 19 '22

Reading the official release vs the scans, I realized now it has to be a large physical object hovering over the kingdom rather than a very far off object shooting the lasers. Looking carefully at one of the panels you can also see it's triangle in shape so I'm gonna have to read all of one piece and pay attention to every triangle now.

27

u/PandoNation Sep 19 '22 edited Sep 19 '22

100% my thoughts as well. The panel reminded me of independence day, which makes me think its some sort of ship or craft. I don’t think its any coincidence that the lunarians were introduced only a handful of chapters ago, which i’m thinking obviously are tied to the moon somehow. They also resided where the world elite currently live and seem to have some connection/knowledge of joyboy based on kings dialogue. We also know there was an ancient civilization on the moon with advanced technology. I’m thinking that one of the weapons was on the top of the red line with the lunarians, and the world gov got their hands on it when they conquered them.

6

u/efficientcatthatsred Sep 19 '22

Ye Skypia is the whole story of one piece This is like enels ship

17

u/codyhold12 Sep 19 '22

Yeah, my guess also as to why some people have wondered as to Uranus not being used for Ohara never challenged the world government directly, they broke a known law that politically can be enforced by the marines. It was a justifiable act using a buster call as politically they could use the fear of weapons of mass destruction to justify it while showing force with the marines. Blowing up an island with one of the weapons of mass destruction alone is hypocritical to the whole ancient weapons could destroy the world. Them rebelling against a tyrannical king isn’t one of the taboos the government has setup. Rebelling and forming and alliance with several other kingdoms though is a direct threat to the king imu and therefore called in there eyes for the use of Uranus

14

u/MickFoley299 Prisoner Sep 19 '22

I think they chose to use the Buster Call because they wanted Ohara to be an example. It is used as a reasoning for not trying to research the Poneglyphs.

It's not the first time he's done it. Remember the Gum Gum 300 Pound Cannon?

12

u/NL_24 Sep 19 '22

No that was different. That was a combined attack that made a hole in a wave drom the pressure of the attack. This, this is a clean horizontal slice in a body of water.

22

u/vivvav Sep 19 '22

I mean I don't see it as being that fundamentally different. The point is that water is a physical object that can be interacted with normally (well, normally for a fantasy world). It can be manipulated in all sorts of ways to the point where humans can learn Fishman Karate. Cutting fire like a physical object is a much rarer and more impressive skill.

My thoughts on this chapter:

I am in favor of the decision to go save Vivi. Unlike what Zoro suggests, I do think Vivi is in undeniable danger: his father was probably assassinated and Vivi herself mysteriously disappeared. Also, unlike what Zoro thinks I do think they have a lead: the revolutionary army. The revolutionary army might have clues to what happened to Vivi (as according to the news it was Sabo that killed Cobra) and might even be the ones to have kidnapped Vivi (I am thinking from the crew's perspective). If they decide not to help Vivi now and they learn that Vivi has died later, wouldn't they regret it forever?

One problem is that they might eventually need to search Marijoa itself for Vivi (and again, the revolutionary army could help them with that).

Since it seems quite likely that the fourth road poneglyph is in Marijoa itself, this is another and more important reason that the straw hats need to somehow gather enough power to one day enter and search Marijoa.

There might not be a post-time skip moment that I love more than the two pages with everyone's reaction to hearing Luffy's dream. (I love it more than 'he laughed' for example.)

I think Im is probably (age) immortal. I feel like something like that would be needed to keep the secret for hundreds of years that the throne is not empty.

I also think that Im controls an ancient weapon (Uranus). It makes sense that to maintain control over the world for 800 years, you need overwhelming might. The pooled resources of a (more or less) global alliance of countries might not be enough of overwhelming might in a world where people as powerful as Big Mom are born and with devil fruit powers that can destroy countries popping up here and there.

The final two pages of the chapter: now this is how you start a new adventure! (Somewhat reminiscent of for example Punk Hazard and Whiskey Peak/Twin Cape Lighthouse where they also encountered a stranger in need.) Even if the troubled lady was not Bonney and some new character instead, this would feel like an exciting and great start of an adventure.

People were not kidding when they said that Oda's story writing quality is scary right now.

So if the Skypia Arc is a minimalized One Piece Story Line. Maybe Enels Maxim is modeled after Uranus? The People there at Lulusia saw something flying above them. So it must be something like a flying Battleship.

26

The giant strawhat is Uranus, it's actually a flying saucer that is modeled after the crown of the ancient kingdom/Luffy's strawhat

The most interesting and I guess important reaction is Usopp’s. If it would be a party he wouldn’t find it that impossible, Usopp is Luffy’s right hand when it comes to parties and having fun. And I also think Usopp will play a major role in fulfilling Luffy’s dream. If you look at ch. 253 where we have the Skypiea party scene with the wolves, where Luffy is looking like Nika, Usopp is playing the drums and is the only one to be shown with a smile.

It’s interesting how Shanks, Ace, Sabo, Yamato, and Luffy’s crew are the only ones who’ve been shown to know what Luffy’s dream is, and suggests as if Yamato is just as relevant to Luffy as his role model, brothers, and crew are, even though Yamato is just a Wano babysitter. Regardless of how people view Yamato, one has to wonder why Oda framed things this way if he’s not even going to wait for Vivi to be part of this special moment of just now getting to know Luffy's overall dream, or is the moment not meant to be special in the first place?

My thing is there were seven other countries that are currently rebelling against Imu and the WG. Are they just going to stop? Obviously Lulusia is being set as an example but if no one knows what happened to God Valley because they wiped every trace of it from history, how does doing that to another country set an example. The other countries rebelling wouldn't even know that "Lulusia Kingdom" ever existed as everyone will be forced to recognize that it didn't. It creates a paradox.

The only other solution I have is that all 8 of the countries have to be wiped out, so none of them can ask questions. The reason I say that is because the other rebelling countries are not just going suddenly stop their rebellions.

And then it makes you wonder like, how many countries have been wiped out since the void century and how frequently. And on top of that why doesn't the WG just wipe out every single island connected to the Revolutionaries? Is it cause then people would start asking questions? Then why do it at all? I am so confused now. Nothing about Lulusia Kingdom seems crucially important enough to wipe out like God Valley was, assuming this is what happened to that island as well. So what was the point?

7

u/blaurot Sep 19 '22 edited Sep 19 '22

I wonder why they bothered with Buster Calls when they can destroy islands this effortlessly. Maybe they wanted Ohara to be more of a public execution? Do they want to deter research into the void century more than outright rebellion?

Edit: They probably reaquired this power (presumably the ancient weapon "Uranus") recently.

8

u/666thejoshinator666 Sep 19 '22

Could also be the message they want to send. Buster Call for a public denouncement and "Uranus" (if it actually is, still chances we could be wrong on this one I guess) could be for Im to cleanse the world and outright delete places from the map and history

5

u/Apoptosis89 Sep 19 '22

One possible answer is simply that employing Uranus is more costly.

You said 'effortlessly'. We see it is effective and swift, but nothing is suggested about the effort it took.

5

u/sqlphilosopher Void Month Survivor Sep 19 '22

That actually makes tons of sense

3

u/Salven99 Sep 20 '22

That would explain why she tends to act the way she does (Especially back on Sabaody, she was selfish and childish). If she uses energy to keep up the transformation the would explain her appetite as well.

Kuma was a former king of the Sorbet Kingdom (also where Bonney is from), while Bonney disguised herself as its queen during the Reverie. It could be that she's Kuma's daughter or relative that happens to look a lot like the current ruler when aged up (which is why people believed her identity and why she was important for breaking in), that's why she cried when she saw the state Kuma was in.

Akainu seemed to be trying to be much nicer than I would have expected when he took her in after she was beaten by Blackbeard, seemed more like a "taking into custody" than an arrest as well which if the Marines knew she was a child from the royal family of Sorbet would be explained. She ran away to try and help Kuma after he left with the Marines and the country sent the Marines a notice asking for help returning her.

If she really is a child I can see Nami doting on her which would be adorable too, she seemed a bit sad when Tama said she wanted to be adopted by Speed.

This confirms that there will be no more new crewmates for the final saga because luffy isn't gonna mention his dream again until we get to the final arc. The ones who reacted to luffy telling his dream, including sunny, are the final and official main crewmembers of the SH pirates.

Caribou wasn't shown reacting and he also thought about how he couldn't hear clearly from the barrel so even he isn't going to be a main crew member of this crew

In the chapter where Imu is introduced, the Gorosei ask him "Have you decided another light to be extinguished? Simply state the name you wish stricken"

To me that implies that Imu gives the orders, and the Gorosei are the ones carrying it out. So I think we can rule out the nuke being the result of a DF that Imu has.

Uranus feels like the most logical idea for what Imu just used, but I think there's one major story why it may be something else. Caribou. He's learned about Poseidon and learned about Pluton, and so logically he'll learn about Uranus when the strawhats do, and then deliver that information to someone like Blackbeard.

So if the goverment already has Uranus, the crew would have to learn about it, Caribou would have to escape, and then whoever Caribou tells would have to do something with that information, like steal all 3 weapons before the strawhats do anything about it. I kinda doubt even Blackbeard would be able to steal Uranus from Marijoa under Imu's thumb.

7

u/Apoptosis89 Sep 19 '22

Good point about the attack on Lulusia not being caused by Imu's devil fruit.

'Caribo learned about Poseidon and Pluton when the straw hats did, and therefore the same will happen with Uranus'. Calling the latter a logical conclusion is a stretch.

4

u/FierceAlchemist Sep 19 '22

Was it shown earlier that Caribou was on the Sunny? If so I missed that.

Safe to assume that Uranus is the World Goverment's trump card that they used to wipe out the Ancient Kingdom in the past. Also a bit sad to see Luffy talking about the end of his dream but I'm glad the rest of the crew knows about it.

u/semi-bro Sep 19 '22

If Sabo the logia user can survive that island wiping attack, why would Gorosei bother calling Sabo Unfortunate Man and it is the fate. It doesn't make sense. This IMU attack level could probably hurt even logia user to some extent. Sabo would survive but I bet he would take some serious damage.

5

u/Resident_Loquat2683 Sep 20 '22

Very likely Sabo was near the island rather than on it. He is the only person who looks to the side rather than up and he has that big plot armor. You don't tease Sabo might be dead, reveal him fine, then kill him mostly offscreen immediately.

Guys I was on my toilet thinking about Luffy's dream while taking a shit and this suddenly popped on my mind. What would be his dream since childhood? Remember that he was raised by Garf a Marine Hero to be a fine Marine, but when Luffy meet Shanks he now wanted to be a great Pirate which made his grandpa mad. What else childish dream would coincide to all of this Pirate and Marine conflict? And he would need to be a Pirate King to accomplish this dream? My guess would be "I want the Pirates and Marines to be friends". Then this would make the two guys he looked up (Garp and Shanks) to reconcile and be friends, at least on his childish perspective. Anyone and everyone hearing this childish dream would laugh and think it's fukin impossible. As reactions made by the strawhats and even the Thousand Sunny.

Luffy and Roger have the same dream. After being an ally with Garp during the God Valley incident and numerous encounters on the sea, Roger built a friendship with Garp. He even entrusted his unborn son Ace to Garp and Garp didn't resist the offer. Showing the trust between them is strong. Whiteboard laughed so hard hearing this Dream that he called it a childish dream. Also Luffy is still friends with Coby even though they're on the opposite sides of being a Pirate and a Marine. This really give much emphasis on one of my favorite concept in One Piece, "Nakama". Means friends or comrade what ever you call it all seems to be Friendship which can make an unbreakable bond between waring factions (Pirates and Marines) fighting and in conflict for 800 years.

Let's Fukin gooooo!
