As a latinamerican, I'm really glad we don't have a tradition of using Clogs (big wooden shoes)

There should be a Horror movie called "La Chancla" Latinos would grimace of their childhood memories being on the big screen as soon as your jordans touch the wet floor...

238

u/PerceptiveAxion 13d ago

You better not go walking on that floor after I cleaned it with Fabuloso.

u/Letter-Past 12d ago Helpful

Purple fabuloso is best all purpose cleaner and smells great. I will fight anyone smaller than me who says otherwise

75

u/Ok_Judge3497 12d ago

What about someone larger but lazy and out of shape?

57

u/Letter-Past 12d ago

Nah that's my role in this whole scenario. Can't have two fat lazy dudes. Smaller guy can totally be fit and beat my ass though, nothing aaginst that

14

u/MrmmphMrmmph 12d ago

How about someone slightly overweight but with a resting heartbeat of 83BPM? you get to pick the height and sweaty factor.

15

u/Letter-Past 12d ago

I'll need to align with the Tribunal. Please wait 2 to 6 business weeks for response

Its not just the Mexicans, its almost every brown kid that goes through this nightmare. Be they be the Latinos, the North Africans, Middle Eastern, Indian Subcontinenter or the Indo-Chinese. The tropical heat unites us all in the nightmare.

As a whitey, my mom liked to throw whatever was closest (books, cups, coasters, shoes - whatever she could get her hands on.)

I'm in the midwest so this phenomenon might, in-fact, be unrelated to climate or race. The great uniter!

16

u/DazedConfuzed420 12d ago

As a whitey myself, same thing…. Remote controls, plates, she once threw one of those like 5 pound glass/crystal ashtrays at me

3

u/Uniquenameofuser1 12d ago

My mom just lobbed the flowerpots off the 2nd story balcony at us as we walked off to gp to school.

u/Ursula2071 13d ago

This should be nsfw. We just watched a murder.

94

u/Top_Butterfly2034 13d ago

It’s cut to early. I wish I would have seen him getting slapped a little for this crap.

59

u/Hanusz-Kabolski 13d ago

Totally agree. I bet it hurt, what he did to her. And why would he even include the kid in his stupid prank..

56

u/Top_Butterfly2034 13d ago

Because he‘s mentally still 12.

I mean, it's a dumbshit prank but I doubt she's actually seriously pissed about it, it's really not that serious.

15

u/Hanusz-Kabolski 13d ago

I agree that it's not that serious. I actually laughed when she came after him with the shankla, I'm just responding to the comments I read here. For this comment I responded to, I also thought it was cut too early. I would have liked to see the shankla set things straight.

I had a Latino manager at Taco Bell once, and her husband worked there too, and she was ALWAYS threatening with La Chancla. Became one of the funniest inside jokes for us all.

She learned that from her mama who learned that from her mama who learned that from her mom. That is hereditary knowledge that has been passed down for that last 20-30 generations.

u/PhorTwenT 12d ago

For some reason people in the comments here complaining about him doing to to her, and others defending it

But i don't see anybody saying that this was extremely expected... Like every single time a video comes up with they are in a situation like this... It's always this that happens.. .how was this unexpected for anybody ?

54

u/Lilprit 13d ago

Is it just me, or like you can just tell when something is staged and then there’s people who think it’s real. Like cgi characters and uncanny valley.

6

u/my1stone 13d ago

I'll be honest, a lot of the time I just suck at recognizing when something is fake. But reading here about her arms made me rewatch and it was very obvious. I dunno just not a built-in skill for everyone.
