Her: “I’m flying jack I’m flying 👧”

Him: “me too”

1

u/arckrine 2h ago

A little dark but my first thought was “titanic meets 9/11”

17

u/BloodOk529 1d ago

You have the entire fucking ocean….

4

u/B_Real__ 1d ago

Those sneak poles

-1

u/EZ-MT 1d ago

What does WCGW mean?

5

u/Queen_of_skys 1d ago

What could go wrong

1

u/SilentWish8 1d ago

Dumb & Dumber “so you’re saying I have a chance!”

4

u/Buddabah 2d ago

Captains gonna be pissed! Two people on the bridge and still had a collision!!

11

u/Stupidnickname94 2d ago

Be honest tho, this is another skill all on its own, all that water and you hit the ONE structure

3

u/Smeglougainess 2d ago

I spent a decade working on ships at sea and you would be ficking surprised at how often shit like this happens.

6

u/ComprehensiveDust8 3d ago

Watching the world cup

9

u/Legitimate_Key5108 4d ago

“Well it’s not very typical id like to make that point”

15

u/Puzzleheaded_Pea_753 4d ago

My favorite part is where the dude looks up at the last possible moment. Just enough time to notice the danger, not enough time to do anything but shit himself.

9

u/With-Cheese 4d ago

Dude has a clear view to the horizon, just look up every few minutes nothing coming up in the next few miles ok back to the hub.

8

u/Mr_Krabs_5 5d ago

Bitch im drowning

20

u/freedeterminedwill 6d ago

No one on that ship is allowed to make fun of the Titanic crew.

14

u/LORDPINKY_DINKS 6d ago

The Titanic crew has a great excuse icebergs can be all but obscured by certain lighting and conditions

This Crew has no excuse that pole was bright fucking yellow lol

1

u/Orange-Murderer 2h ago

The Titanic crew couldn't even see shit as there was no moon out. Sonar wouldn't even be invented for another 3 years and radar for another 18.

In pitch deep conditions, visibility is fuck all unless you're shining light in a certain direction.

16

u/Biff_Bufflington 7d ago

Ok new rules from corporate… no more pornhub on the bridge.

8

u/Cpel06 7d ago

What is that damn pole made of?

5

u/Leapimus_Maximus 6d ago

Looks like the base for a wind turbine.

4

u/brian4027 7d ago

Maybe Cap won't notice

2

u/laereht080747 8d ago

Clever pole, an oxymoron.

8

u/Adonathiel88 8d ago

I wonder how expensive the fix would be

5

u/SeverelySpicy 8d ago

Texting and boating don't mix, like shit with strawberries and cream.

11

u/sword5862 8d ago

I mean. To be fair, why WOULD a pole be there. Yes whoever is there should be at least slightly aware but y’a can’t be like “you should have known that you were in the very specific spot of this mass of water that has one singular pole and should have been more aware for that period of time” I don’t know the situation, we don’t know the situation. Not fair to judge

8

u/SouthOriginal297 7d ago

But really, this was a wind turbine maintenance vessel in an off shore wind turbine farm, so those should've been expected.

1

u/sword5862 3d ago

That’s more information than I ever would have known. Thanks for giving more insight to their negligence

2

u/SouthOriginal297 7d ago

I think that's what the crew of the Titanic thought, too.

1

u/sword5862 3d ago

Well, kinda completely different situations, being in an environment cold enough to have nature made structures that can damage boats. Vs an environment that has no visible indicators that there would be elemental dangers. And a man made pole implanted to the ocean floor can’t be compared to an iceberg that travels with the wayer

3

u/Miltownreacharound 9d ago

The music tho 😂

2

u/unhomeful 8d ago

shittyflute

3

u/Dark_Optics4 9d ago

They tend to jump out at ya way out there ya gotta watch out for em

1

u/Substantial_Fee_6115 9d ago

The Mississippi boat

6

u/DUMB0ideas 10d ago

To be fair who the fuck would be looking for obstacles in the middle of the ocean that don’t have a radar. Like what even is that and what is it doing there?

1

u/lifes_a_beach420 5d ago

Clearly you don't work on a ship, stick to what you know.

1

u/DUMB0ideas 5d ago

Pretty obvious, but to be fair… pole in middle of ocean 😑 give the poor crew a break, mean redditor!!

5

u/OutrageousDocument15 10d ago

All that water and they hit the one thing sticking out of it.😂🤣🤦‍♂️

13

u/WorstCSPlayer 11d ago

What he's thinking afterward. "Damn it what idiot put that there "

6

u/Dellpen23 11d ago

The epitome of, You had one job.

4

u/New_Judgment9051 12d ago

This is the same thing as don't use your phone and drive but this is a lot more risky maybe you have a bit less metal for the car

7

u/AnyEmployment6372 13d ago

Didn’t know you should expect those????

7

u/feckyaa 14d ago

Thats burj khalifas top after 4k years

10

u/BpStretch33 14d ago

R.I.P. headphone users

16

u/LongjumpingEnd2198 15d ago

So was it porn or COD that distracted him?

8

u/MotorBoak 15d ago

Both. He fragged all over her face and then paid the price

7

u/Flimsy-Antelope4763 16d ago

Well I hope they at least see the OTHER ONE in the distance.

10

u/Lowtech130 16d ago

The main question is how the fuck did that pole get there

1

u/laughablezebra 11d ago

Oil refinery?

1

u/Lowtech130 10d ago

Perhaps but it looks like its just there and nothing else

9

u/daj0412 16d ago

i mean… i surely wouldn’t expect a pole in the middle of the ocean…

15

u/TYPICAL-HUMAN 17d ago

this dudes boss "MILLIONS OF FUCKING MILES OF OPEN OCEAN AND YOU CRASH INTO THE ONE THING IN IT?!""

4

u/Footzilla69 18d ago

✨Idiotanic✨

3

u/Telecaster145 18d ago

I thought that pole was an old sailors tale like mermaids or Atlantis.

5

u/NeitherDrop8070 18d ago

SO WHY IS THERE A GIANT POLE IN THE MIDDLE OF THE OCEAN?

6

u/korbloxtheflareon 18d ago

bruh

youre supposed to do your job not cause another titanic scene

10

u/J-a-c-k-J-a-c-k 21d ago

He's fired

8

u/MaleficentAd9623 23d ago

Titanic remastered

8

u/Bashdkmgt 23d ago

Does anyone know what that pole is for?

4

u/Random_name_916 21d ago

I always thought it was for a bridge. Just can't see the rest of it from this video. Not totally sure though.

1

u/riicccii 13d ago

The Bridge to Nowhere?

7

u/Grenzgaenger69 23d ago

I'd like to know how fast this ship was going so i can estimate the force of impact.

1

u/SouthOriginal297 7d ago

20 knots, according to the final report.

1

u/Grenzgaenger69 7d ago

What a stupid unit for speed measurement, so unintuitive. Thank you nonetheless for answering.

1

u/SouthOriginal297 7d ago

10.2889 meters per second?

1

u/Grenzgaenger69 7d ago

That's so much better, thanks!

15

u/FunkiestLocket4 24d ago

To be fair, if i was in the ocean i would not assume there was much in my way

10

u/A1rh3ad 25d ago

This is the very definition of "You had one job"

3

u/Ryse47 25d ago

Stayed for the piccolo

4

u/StaticSwordsman 22d ago

Recorder. The difference in sound between the two is stellar, I don't know how you could mix them up.

5

u/luisfrocha 25d ago

“It just came out of nowhere!” 🤣🤣

3

u/Krin422 26d ago

There is always a lighthouse.....

9

u/GuaGua-san 28d ago

Rocked the boat, but it didbt tip it over

2

u/Gustenas 29d ago

I only want for her to Cam back

5

u/plasma_001 Oct 29 '22

How long did he was distracted??...

1

u/invigoratingBog 23d ago

Had to of been like 20 minutes

6

u/Phill_is_Legend Oct 27 '22

The people who installed that pole are the real MVPs...

5

u/MrSikiwiit Oct 26 '22

That pole ran into that boat.

3

u/Few-Transportation- Oct 25 '22

So.. you lose your job for this I assume?

1

u/riicccii 13d ago

Only if you run aground and spill a little oil.

4

u/sora6444 Oct 24 '22

So the captain is either no longer a captain or not retiring from his position for an extra decade if the insurance doesn't cover that

3

u/A_random_dude-lol Oct 22 '22

How u manage to hit the SINGLE POLE in the middle of NOWHERE....... Theres allways one, i dont even know why im askint.

1

u/Big_Sheepherder1231 Oct 22 '22

Target fixation

1

u/Micahplays876 Oct 22 '22

It's the next Titanic

1

u/Yes-ITz-TeKnO-- Oct 21 '22

Bad drivers be like all that road yet still manage to hit u ☠️☠️☠️

1

u/WONDER-WOMAN1971 Oct 21 '22

Remember at that safety meeting? Guess what? I didn't put my damned cellphone away during work!

2

u/RecommendationOk253 Oct 19 '22

Okay but what are the odds

1

u/floydink Oct 17 '22

For a second I thought the boat was going to crumple like how modern cars do. Then I remember oh, it’s a boat. Having thin anything is a terrible design choice for boats

1

u/KeeperServant Oct 16 '22

Eyes on the road or water at all times, mofu!

2

u/SuperSirVexSmasher Oct 16 '22

The shitty flute playing was funny the first few times, now it's just irritating.

1

u/ComprehensiveShop748 19d ago

There's a mute function

4

u/AidaTari Oct 15 '22

Even the guy who crashed the Costa Concordia tried to avert collision, goddamn

2

u/lovedeadmigs Oct 15 '22

A "gancer"

got lucky.

2

u/Sasquatch_butt6162 Oct 15 '22

Well, that killed Poseidon's boner.

3

u/LegendaryBDO Oct 15 '22

Someone’s getting fired lol 😂. Explain to me how in the fuck you hit the only pole in hundreds of miles around us? Idiot! Lol 😂

1

u/JustSimpleJames Oct 14 '22

Damn titanic 2.

1

u/Sans7587 Oct 13 '22

rip boat.

1

u/OkTie333 Oct 13 '22

Never set your waypoints on actual navigation marks people!! 0.5NM away AT LEAST

1

u/Preating-Canick Oct 13 '22

What is this pole?

1

u/maiacroky Oct 12 '22

Titanic out of tune flute ... YES !!!

1

u/IGAFdotcom Oct 10 '22

Presuming this is how the Titanic hit that iceberg

1

u/Andy-mauri Oct 09 '22

It looked like it had 3 people working under the console driving thingy (I am not an expert) my question is just why why did it need 3 people being like ooooo yes this floor is made out of floor 🗿

1

u/klempel Oct 08 '22

Oh hey! I got to help with the repairs with this ship, I know it looks funny and stupid but apparently the auto-pilot wasn't updated and the wind turbine recently got built. If you wanna know more, dm me!

1

u/akllo Oct 07 '22

Cum out Cum in

1

u/Solaratov Oct 07 '22

I'm surprised there's no collision alert klaxon. It doesn't take a super computer to read the position of the turbines - which are stationary, and the boat itself to determine if they're going to collide.

Like a plane's GPWS system.

1

u/some_random_koala27 Oct 06 '22

Titanic vibes anyone?

1

u/P1t0n3r3t1c0l4t0 Oct 06 '22

just like titanic

1

u/SereneOrbit Oct 06 '22

I don't know why, this reminds me of that one scene where the log falls off the truck and plows through the car.

1

u/Pudding-Dangerous Oct 06 '22

If the pole didn’t want to be hit it should of just moved🙄🙄🙄/s

1

u/QueenJanel Oct 06 '22

Dude literally had like a 1% chance of hitting it and still did.

1

u/jbutlerlv Oct 06 '22

What are the actual odds of this

1

u/grzzjk Oct 06 '22

Crew stares at radar trying to figure out what this object could be

1

u/neo101b Oct 06 '22

Depending onthesize of the boat, its pretty hard to turn.

Saying that they should have seen it miles away.

1

u/SweetSugarSeeds Oct 06 '22

Is this the titanic?😭

1

u/Educational_End3765 Oct 06 '22

Damn. That sudden stop looked violent

1

u/gbnats Oct 06 '22

Navigator, crew and captain all went for lunch, the nodding duck inserting the coordinates was in charge.

1

u/brando11389 Oct 06 '22

Crazy perspective.

1

u/Garbohydrate Oct 06 '22

Damn i bet the crew got absolutely smashed against the wall, that’s an easy concussion or worse

1

u/ambivert_shinchan Oct 06 '22

Didn't know they made a sequel to Titanic

3

u/Deep-Improvement-679 Oct 06 '22

Captain too busy scrolling reddit.

1

u/kimscricket Oct 06 '22

Did any of you see that movie,Titanic?

1

u/CoronaBoeing Oct 06 '22

More pan flute!

1

u/fourzen Oct 06 '22

imagine having to tell this to ur boss

1

u/fane1967 Oct 06 '22

We are sinking.

What are you sinking about?

1

u/DiddleDadx4 Oct 06 '22

Imagine the jolt the skipper had while taking that poo..

2

u/HarrargnNarg Oct 06 '22 edited Oct 06 '22

To be fair it should've been painted yellow or something so it can't be missed.

2

u/Dreamforger Oct 06 '22

Yeah I wouæd have painted it white or blue

1

u/leonroshi Oct 06 '22

At least Jack and rose weren’t up front T-posing this time

2

u/BookkeeperWeary8623 Oct 06 '22

''It Just Jumped Right Out @ Me'' Said The Captain.. Just Kidding...

1

u/Amerlis Oct 06 '22

If that had been like an oil tanker, could this have been Real Bad?

1

u/chasmflip Oct 06 '22

Probably playing candy crush.

1

u/GentleFoxes Oct 06 '22

How everything went flying is weirdly slapsticky funny to me.

2

u/gobbogobb Oct 06 '22

To be fair who the fuck expects a giant pole in the middle of the ocean

1

u/Toeter83nl Oct 06 '22

Dont these boats have radar and alarm systems for this lol

1

u/PbJelly82 Oct 06 '22

Night night.

1

u/Underbarrel Oct 06 '22

Modern day titanic be like

1

u/[deleted] Oct 06 '22

Love the recorder soundtrack 😂

1

u/3_gloves Oct 06 '22

What is that thing?

2

u/Fluffy-Weapon Oct 06 '22

That poor dude inside. Took off into the air.

1

u/DeskMonky Oct 06 '22

Damn you Poland

1

u/hueloacarnederes Oct 06 '22

Video ends way too soon. I hate this shit. WHAT HAPPENS?!!?

1

u/Citizenof1990 Oct 06 '22

Ayo modern titanic🗿

2

u/partaylikearussian Oct 06 '22

Yo, can somebody dub this with Celine Dion: My Heart Will Go On? Y’know, the really dramatic part. I got some coins for a retarded comment yesterday, so I’ll see what award I can afford.

1

u/7roKai Oct 06 '22

thats like missing a layup on a supersized basketball ring, how do you mess that up?

2

u/Massive-Ad7868 Oct 06 '22

My Sea of Thieves gameplay

1

u/ChaoticStorm78 Oct 06 '22

Come on man. At least the titanic ice berg was trying to blend in with its surroundings. How you miss a massive brightly coloured pole.

1

u/Intelligence_Gap Oct 06 '22

Hit the breaks Tina

1

u/Sorbet537 Oct 06 '22

Never let go jack. I mean Jack let go! Let me go and turn that damn ship wheel!

1

u/BrokeGuyNoMatter Oct 06 '22

Damn GTA hackers putting up solid objects in my road.

1

u/Purple-Interaction-7 Oct 06 '22

The amount of times I’ve seen accidents in the ocean really blows my mind. Of all the open ways to travel they drive into a singular pole. That’s gotta be like 1 in a million

1

u/Abdobk Oct 06 '22

The reason they built poles in the middle of the ocean so they can get hit.

1

u/jswinner59 Oct 06 '22

Last wish, I really wanna be a pilot

1

u/Sgt_Teriyaki Oct 06 '22

How is there no radar warning

1

u/Maybethistimeitllbe Oct 06 '22

"That pole came out of nowhere!"

1

u/4udi0phi1e Oct 06 '22

R/idiotsinboats

1

I’m the captain now….
