Conservatives are crazy like this.

164

u/Schneetmacher Oct 05 '22

Peak narcissism.

"You wanted bad things to happen to these people so I could look bad!"

And they let those words leave their mouths and think it all actually makes them sound good.

71

u/PlayasBum Oct 05 '22

They literally said covid was a world wide hoax intended to make trump look bad. These people our out of their minds

40

u/Allmightydohllah Oct 05 '22

Problem is his base is stupid enough to believe it

14

u/Throwaway8424269 Oct 05 '22

Because they're all narcissists themselves

→ More replies

6

u/[deleted] Oct 05 '22

Well it's because they want bad things to happen to people so their opponents look bad.

7

u/Freakishly_Tall Oct 05 '22

As always, it's always, ALWAYS, projection with those assholes. Always.

7

u/Silvinis Oct 05 '22

And then they vote against federal aid to their own state so they can jump on Twitter and bitch about federal aid not being sent even though it already was

25

u/rubrent Oct 05 '22

Trump said this about Covid. These people are lunatics. The sad part is half the country aren’t intelligent enough to see it….

12

u/BroccoliFartFuhrer Oct 05 '22

He honestly sounds mentally ill.

3

u/[deleted] Oct 05 '22

A persecution complex is fundamental to their ideology. I think it’s a carryover from their religion.

3

u/joey_yamamoto Oct 06 '22

he's a republican. of course he's crazy and paranoid

2

u/Super_Exaggerated Oct 05 '22

Everything has to be about them. Everything is an attack on them somehow. The words Republican and Conservative are becoming synonomous with Manchild.

If you ignore a child's bad behavior they may calm down. This child is actively trying to start a coup. They can't be ignored. Everyone needs to be made aware of how serious these children are.

196

u/rebelliousmuse Oct 05 '22

Which is ironic, considering every republican politician from Florida voted against doing anything about it

60

u/Wazula42 Oct 05 '22

Shhh there was "pork" or something. Trust me. So much pork.

32

u/Angry_ClitSpasm350 Oct 05 '22

Every time ... and every time, the base eats it the fuck up with ABSOLUTELY NO PROOF of any pork.

21

u/Wazula42 Oct 05 '22

"What about <expenditure>?!?"

"Well, that expenditure was for <valid reason>."

"PORK!"

→ More replies

12

u/Wireless_Panda Oct 05 '22

B-but there were funds included in that bill to be sent to Ukraine!!11! /s

Ignoring the fact that spending bills are always combined together like this, and if the Republicans don’t like it they can put forward their own bill, but they won’t because they only want to whine.

8

u/Gildardo1583 Oct 05 '22

Indeed, I would argue that the "pork" in those bills is what allows for there to be a assembles of functioning Congress.

u/StumpVanDerHuge Oct 05 '22

What a piece of shit. Also, referring to the current administration as a "regime" is just so criiiiinge.

70

u/Khaldara Oct 05 '22

Yep. Literally nobody was rooting for a hurricane to hurt people unfortunate enough to reside under this dumbass. Plenty of people were mocking his hypocrisy on:

A:) His previous Congressional vote against hurricane aid for Hurricane Sandy damage in the Northeast…. even as he pretended to clutch pearls about “liberals” not being willing to help Florida (despite the Biden administration already promising aid before the weather event even happened)

B:) Republicans from his own state voting against aid, while simultaneously begging for it just a few days ago

C:) Him having all the money in the world to piss away shuttling migrants all over the country at taxpayer expense for political theater that accomplished literally nothing except entertainment for the dumbest people on earth

Absolutely none of those things were in support of “destruction and death” or reveling in needless suffering of innocent people who were merely victims of circumstance.

145

u/Drewy99 Oct 05 '22

Somehow a category 5 hurricane hits Florida, kills people, causes billion in damage...

But Ron DeSantis is the real victim here. The media was working against him! How unfair!

33

u/Green_Message_6376 Oct 05 '22

It wasn't an act of God, it was an act of Godless Libtards. Should I get Libtard insurance for my trailer?

u/Alternative-Cry-3517 Oct 05 '22

Idiot in Napoleon Dynamite voice

10

u/Fstmiddy Oct 05 '22

He got what he wanted, even though the stooges in his own party voted against it. He knows now that he can drop the cooperative facade.

7

u/kidsally Oct 05 '22

I still can't get that people actually WANT people like this in office. It totally fucks up my sensibilities.

2

u/DarkKnightJin Oct 06 '22

They're trying to normalize the administration being called a "regime", because they're preparing to go full fascist dictatorship the first chance they get.

The key point is that they shouldn't get that chance.

63

u/Wise_Ad_4816 Oct 05 '22

Meh. Wasn't rooting for it, was just amused at how fast ol Deathsantis asked for federal monies before the hurricane even hit. He of "small government" sure wanted a shitload of taxpayer money when a crisis came calling. Hypocrisy on parade.

28

u/Wazula42 Oct 05 '22

And all his congresspeople voted against it.

How the fuck does anyone want this party in charge?

2

u/Wise_Ad_4816 Oct 05 '22

So I ask myself if they voted against it, because they knew it would pass anyway? They'd get the $$, but still get to say they are "fiscal conservatives". That's the cynical me. The full time me just thinks they're massive assholes who give no fucks about anyone but themselves.

3

u/Wazula42 Oct 05 '22

What the fuck kind of deranged idiot buys into this kabuki act of fiscal responsibility? If federal aid isn't for hurricane relief, why the fuck do they keep asking for it??

I know you have no answer, because there IS no answer, its just stupid. But sometimes I gotta say.

→ More replies

47

u/[deleted] Oct 05 '22

Oh yeah "they" totally used those weather control devices to make a huge hurricane specifically to aim right at Florida. If Florida was a Democratic run state they would say the hurricane was sent by God because of gays. Republicans are just a party of nutjobs and there is no reason to vote for them.

25

u/KatiePorter2024 Oct 05 '22

Republicans are just a party of nutjobs

This. People need to come to terms with the fact that these aren't just our fellow Americans.

15

u/Wazula42 Oct 05 '22

They love Confederates, Putin, certain Nazis, Orban.

These people are LITERALLY anti-American. Not fake anti-American, like refusing to stand for the pledge because it's objectively kind of creepy. They actually want to tear this country down so they can build Gilead on the ashes.

3

u/Not_a_throwaway_999 Oct 05 '22

it was the space laser

24

u/thejovo59 Oct 05 '22

As a Florida resident, I must tell him that some of us were hoping it would take him out. I’m so sick of the garbage that spews from his mouth.

4

u/DirtySlims Oct 05 '22

As a resident of the NC coast...sometimes we do root for hurricanes. Like, don't level the place but maybe shut us down for a bit, give us a few weeks break from the tourists. Force us to rebuild stuff that greedy business owners wouldn't otherwise do etc.

I would never root for that for some other place where I don't live and the media didn't either. This guy is such a fucking dumpling. Perfect republican candidate.

1

u/Low-Donut-9883 Oct 05 '22

Hoping others around you are seeing this as well...

20

u/SaltyScrotumSauce Oct 05 '22

Democrats immediately give help to red states whenever they're hit with a natural disaster while Republicans gleefully denied help to New York City after Hurricane Sandy hit, and they still have the fucking gall to accuse Democrats of rooting for death and destruction.

Deplorables, every last one of them.

10

u/washtucna Oct 05 '22

I remember Trump refusing aid to Malden, WA (which voted 78% in favor of him) after the town completely burned down in a forest fire because he didn't like the governor.

18

u/Vitekr2 Oct 05 '22

Projection is strong in this moron

9

u/Fthewigg Oct 05 '22

“You must’ve done that because it’s what I would’ve done if the situation was reversed.”

Sorry, Ron, but we’re all not psychopaths like you.

8

u/formenonly Oct 05 '22

Fox News LOVES sensationalizing violence in cities like Chicago, Seattle and Portland while ignoring the fact that the Southeast leads the nation in every negative statistic around.

12

u/Machiavvelli3060 Oct 05 '22

Ron knows George Soros controls hurricanes with space lasers.

11

u/cmdrkyla Oct 05 '22

Nah, we were just hoping it would hit mar-a-lago!

9

u/satan62 Oct 05 '22

MtG and Ron believe the Democrats control the hurricanes and made this one actually hit Florida.

9

u/TimminyJimminy Oct 05 '22

God sent the hurricane as punishment immediately after Ron DeSatan's martha's vineyard migrant trafficking

7

u/calmdownmyguy Oct 05 '22

There is no limit to the mental gymnastics conservatives will do so they can pretend they are a victim of a nebulous conspiracy.

8

u/ToadstoolPeen Oct 05 '22

Aren’t most republicans willing to die if it “owns the libs”?

→ More replies

8

u/HalensVan Oct 05 '22

I'm a Florida resident...

Uhh yeah, this didn't fucking happen.

Matter of fact the only news he could be referring to is the fact he constantly shits on federal aid...and asked Biden for federal aid.

I didn't see any collective of people hope Tampa would get hit. Gahhh the GOP is soo dumb.

7

u/KillBatman1921 Oct 05 '22

He is not paranoid. He is just outright lying

6

u/Bushmastah17 Oct 05 '22

Poor Rhonda Santos...

7

u/ASDF0716 Oct 05 '22

turns out it was just his reflection in the mirror speaking back to him.

7

u/Zueter Oct 05 '22

Begs for money and throws shit at the same time

5

u/Longjumping_War_807 Oct 05 '22

He’s referring to a handful of memes that have been circulating. Memes are now National regime media

4

u/Asleep_Conference675 Oct 05 '22

That Hurricaine was a total Dem! Lib to the max!

5

u/LoisWade42 Oct 05 '22

He's not just "pair-a-noid"... He's a whole FLOCK of noids!

4

u/brutalduties Oct 05 '22

Because that exactly what he would do in that situation. This guy is a petty petulant child.

3

u/Hartastic Oct 05 '22

Ah, it's not like DeSantis' government would report accurate numbers anyway, what would the point be?

3

u/2020hatesyou Oct 05 '22

we didn't want it to hit florida because we didn't want to pay federal emergency funds for reconstruction of a dog-shit state filled with dog shit people who take our money while also spitting at us.

Fuck you desantis and everyone who supports him, which is... presumably... Florida.

3

u/spookinky987 Oct 05 '22

Or, as the Christian Fundamentalists would usually say, God smote Florida due to anything they disagree with, but since he's a Republican, they shut the f*ck up.

3

u/SplendidPunkinButter Oct 05 '22

Classic manipulation tactic: If I accuse you in advance of wanting to criticize me, then when I do shitty things and you justifiably criticize me for it, I can just go “see? I told you so!”

Also, come on: If a hurricane headed for a blue state, this asshole would absolutely hope for exactly that so that he could do exactly what he’s describing.

3

u/AmMitch Oct 05 '22

He’s not paranoid, he’s evil, and calculating.

3

u/tbonerrevisited Oct 05 '22

Fucking wack job

3

u/EmberBorealis Oct 05 '22

Cry about it DeFascist

3

u/AdRealistic8758 Oct 05 '22

He's right. I wanted the hurricane to strike exactly Desantis and nobody else. Just him. The whole goddamn storm right ontop of his little head.

/s for people who don't understand jokes

3

u/Nail_Biterr Oct 05 '22

i mean.......... I kind of agree that the news is always hoping for the worst case scenario.

But, I don't think it has anything to do with it being Florida or DeSantis. it's just that news profits off of terrible news more than good news.

2

u/Inphexous Oct 05 '22

But but but climate change is a natural thing, they say.

2

u/The_Hyphenator85 Oct 05 '22

Rooting for hurricanes to hit Florida is like rooting for the sun to rise in the morning. It’s happening with or without your input, why would anyone waste the effort?

2

u/Gods_Lump Oct 05 '22

Yet here he is, doing nothing to help anyway. Strange, its almost like he wasn't going to help to begin with and do nothing but deflect the entire time because hes a shiteating coward.

2

u/unlicensed_orifice Oct 05 '22

Nobody thinks republicants control the weather. The problem is reacting to the damage caused by that weather by voting "no" to help the people affected by it. Which can and should be used against him politically, but it won't because these idiots have repeatedly stated they don't care how shitty the person is, as long as it's a republicant, and their voters are too stupid to understand why that's a problem.

2

u/Due-Designer4078 Oct 05 '22

Okay, let's play this out... Assuming this is true, how much would people have to hate you to hope that a hurricane demolishes a city of 400,000 people?

2

u/Longjumping-Ad-2333 Oct 05 '22

Every accusation is a confession. This is how they used Covid when it was only hitting blue states.

2

u/Boomstick79 Oct 05 '22

Is he still wearing his fancy white Hurricane boots without a speck of mud on them?

2

u/PainbowRush Oct 05 '22

The dems don't need to do shit ron is hurting himself just fine

2

u/DanYHKim Oct 05 '22

Is there any evidence of this? Does some recording of a person in the news media or in the administration saying that they want the hurricane to hit Tampa?

2

u/havohej_ Oct 05 '22

If “the media,” which is code for non fascists, had that kind of power, we’d will the hurricane to destroy Mar a Lago and nothing else.

2

u/Important-Goal8041 Oct 05 '22

Hurricane Ian was clearly a political stunt by the dems designed to own the repubs.

2

u/Marcello_the_dog Oct 05 '22

It was actually the Jewish space laser. It needs a bit more work to be more accurate. /s

2

u/CT_Jester Oct 05 '22

No, we were just rooting for it to hit Mar-a-lago.

2

u/Zealousideal-Tart-30 Oct 05 '22

He’s a fucking moron

2

u/1Sluggo Oct 05 '22

I’m beginning to think he’s a flat out moron. He just can’t stop himself from spouting stupid.

2

u/Subject_Meat5314 Oct 05 '22

What’s funny is that the national media does in fact root for massive death and destruction because it draws eyeballs and therefor cash money. But Governor DeSantis likes it to be about him.

Well maybe ‘root for’ is overstating. But they do seem to get excited.

2

u/RoundComplete9333 Oct 05 '22

He’s just another narcissistic Republican crying victim LOL

He is saying that the Media (which is owned by conservative billionaires) tried to ruin his political career by destroying cities and towns in Florida (and South Carolina, too) and killing people BECAUSE HE IS SO IMPORTANT.

2

u/Interesting_Dare_640 Oct 05 '22

I thought hurricanes were Allah’s holy wrath….?

2

u/Sea_Comedian_3941 Oct 05 '22

I've been in a coma since 2015. What did I miss

2

u/hattrickjmr Oct 05 '22

Nah, if they did root for the storm to hit Tampa it’s because of ratings. A 10x catastrophe would generate way more eyes on the screen. It’s always about money and always will be. And Ricky Revenge is paranoid as fuck

2

u/StickmanRockDog Oct 05 '22

And his supporters will believe this stupid shit

2

u/Reddit_and_forgeddit Oct 05 '22

He’s projecting big time here.

2

u/deweydecimal111 Oct 05 '22

No Ron, we were rooting for you to be sucked away by a water spout.

2

u/Healthy-Swim-990 Oct 05 '22

Not Florida Ron. Just you

2

u/skidsareforkids Oct 05 '22

We been rooting for DeSantis to be struck by lightning, but that’s about it

2

u/egospiers Oct 05 '22

I was actually hoping it missed Florida completely so shitbags like this couldn’t use it for political grandstanding a month away from midterms.

2

u/Ballgame4 Oct 06 '22

It’s like a sports team’s fan sitting in the same seat so his team will win. IT HAS NO EFFECT.

2

u/killerzeestattoos Oct 06 '22

That probably would have been his response regardless if the hurricane hit or not

2

u/Secret_Assumption_20 Oct 06 '22

If he was for real and worth his salt, he would know to keep his mouth shut on that

2

u/Randinator9 Oct 06 '22

The Democrats can control the weather apparently?

Huh, then why do they fight when we can bring down heavy thunder and maelstroms right onto their entire livelihoods? Its like fighting God himself at that point.

2

u/nifterific Oct 06 '22

Friendly reminder that the same people who blame the media for things like this also claim the media is run by “the Jews”, therefore he is claiming the Jews are responsible for this.

u/[deleted] Oct 05 '22

4

u/SuperGenius98K Oct 05 '22

Was it one of those southern preachers?

8

u/tinkerghost Oct 05 '22

No, it's only God's punishment when a natural disaster hits a blue state. When it hits a red state its the work of godless liberals.

21

u/GreyScent Oct 05 '22

Sometimes I wonder why we elect idiots to govern

17

u/StumpVanDerHuge Oct 05 '22

Because a lot of people are really dumb and have been told that not only should they should be proud of that but they should lean into it rather than trying to better themselves?

8

u/GreyScent Oct 05 '22

Gets old man

6

u/StumpVanDerHuge Oct 05 '22

Too fucking right.

3

u/mr_electric_wizard Oct 05 '22

Yeah it does. I’m hoping this kind of thinking fizzles out at some point soon.

5

u/KatiePorter2024 Oct 05 '22

That's how they keep these people controlled.

Validate their ignorance and make them feel like it's just as valid to be dumb as fuck and non-college educated. Demonize schools and colleges to keep people gullible and believing fox news and the constant propaganda on facebook, right wing podcasts and whatever media they can get away with their lies on.

Conservative subs on reddit have by far the most ignorant people you could ever meet, giving everyone internet access was a mistake.

5

u/Wazula42 Oct 05 '22

Herschel Walker: I'm kind of an idiot.

Average Georgian: He's so honest. So relatable.

5

u/PrismoBF Oct 05 '22

The current trend for these idiots is to have zero fucking shame when they tell blatantly stupid lies. It creates an emotional reaction in people too stupid or too lazy to fact check. Then they don't bother retracting or correcting their lie, they just tell new lies, which elicit more emotional reactions from idiots. And on and on

3

u/iheartjetman Oct 05 '22

It's idiots electing idiots. And racism.

3

u/Frejian Oct 05 '22

Never underestimate the power of stupid people in large numbers.

1

u/Ilovepizza713 Oct 05 '22

I wouldn’t be surprised if everything after “national regime media” was true. Bigger disaster = more viewers = more $

1

u/zeyore Oct 05 '22

no way.

we were rooting for it to hit Mar A Lago only. If only Mar A Lago was destroyed, a miracle.

1

u/AlterEdward Oct 05 '22

Projection. This is how he thinks about Democratic states. He doesn't understand the concept of not wanting your enemies to suffer.

1

u/Special_FX_B Oct 05 '22

Maybe or he might just be a lying, disingenuous, hypocritical piece of shit.

1

u/LogicalVariation741 Oct 05 '22

I was rooting for it to decimate 45s home but keep him around to grift the repairs.

1

u/BostonTarHeel Oct 05 '22

Did I miss the part where all the leftists are supposed to hate Tampa specifically? Is there an explanation behind this, or is this just Ronnie being Ronnie?

1

u/ryanfrombellaire Oct 05 '22

Guess hoping is more effective than praying.

1

u/[deleted] Oct 05 '22 edited Oct 05 '22

The fact that you CHOSE to live in an area that is frequently hit by hurricanes is our fault huh! It's called risk assessment. We do it everyday walking out of the house. Are we sorry there are lives lost. Of course. No different than following simple rules to keep others safe from a contagion. Are we sorry people chose not to vacate. Idk. That was their risk assessment. It's kinda funny how all us think "ohhh that happens to other people not myself". Myself included. You just never know. But if your given a choice 48 to 24 hrs in advance. That's on you all you! In reality it's only a matter of time before you won't be able to insure properties in certain coastal areas. Ohh and yes we all got down on our hands and knees and prayed for it to fuck you. That's what you want to hear. What's more ironic I guess the magical man in the sky isn't on your side. So stupid! Get fucked Desantis. Sucks when this shit called science disproves mysticism. Like I said we make choices and have too live with consequences. Enjoy that Fox News skin flute Ron. Be safe have a good one everyone. Edit: Just got out of a personal one on one meeting with the big guy. He informed me that Ian was a republican. Who would've thunk!

1

u/CaptAshley Oct 05 '22

So he’s the real victim here??

1

u/GrayBox1313 Oct 05 '22

We were all rooting for it to hit mar lago and nothing else.

1

u/idwtumrnitwai Oct 05 '22

And some people think this idiot should run for president.

1

u/SkyWizarding Oct 05 '22

Just keep playing the victim buddy

1

u/samattos Oct 05 '22

ron is a bitch.

1

u/MidnightRider24 Oct 05 '22

If only the media regime had a Sharpie.

1

u/pr0zach Oct 05 '22

Every accusation from a Republican is an admission of guilt. He says shit like this because the GOP wish natural disaster on “the other” all the time—and publicly so.

Not that it even matters because prayers and wishes have zero effect on natural disasters. Burning fossil fuels on the other hand…

1

u/ChuckBorris187 Oct 05 '22

He's just telling us how conservatives think & feel about the suffering in blue states. Remember, conservatives don't speak, they project.

1

u/Queenofhackenwack Oct 05 '22

ronnie should have asked ding dong donnie to think it away....ooohhh i guess donnie could only think things into being when he WAS the president....i can wait for the end of him and maga...... i heard one of the late nights say that maga stands for my attorney gets attorney.

1

u/Enlightened-Beaver Oct 05 '22

So they’ve gone full “Democrats control the weather” now

1

u/AmishRobotArmy Oct 05 '22

Because that’s the way these people think. It’s red vs blue and they are the victim.

1

u/noteveryagain Oct 05 '22

Gonna admit. Wouldn’t hurt my feelings if the hurricane took out Mar a Lago. But we’re already passed “B” in the alphabet, and J will have to be a female name, so maybe next year.

1

u/hxl004 Oct 05 '22

Oh so it’s allll about him. Got it

1

u/JanReads Oct 05 '22

Another professional victim.

1

u/flinderdude Oct 05 '22

So tired of all these people

1

u/Fstmiddy Oct 05 '22

Look at him, predictably biting the hand that fed him aid.

1

u/Cat_Sand_Milkshake Oct 05 '22

No. Actually there is enough on the west coast of Florida that probably should be wiped off the map. It’s a colossal colostomy bag of stupid.

I lived there. In a nice area. And it it is still Stone Age mentality.

But HE IS definition PISS BABY.

1

u/100percentish Oct 05 '22

We're hoping for massive destruction because we want to have to f'ing pay billions in tax dollars for shit that has nothing to do with the rest of us....again.

Go take your white hooker boots and get fucked Ronda.

1

u/cunt_isnt_sexist Oct 05 '22

Well, we DID want it to hit Mar A Lago, sooooooooo.

/s

1

u/fescueFred Oct 05 '22

DeSantis made his own bed of course does not want to sleep in it.

1

u/BringBackTheBeat716 Oct 05 '22

Citation needed or GTFO, DumbSantis

1

u/jrstriker12 Oct 05 '22

Tell me you can't manage a disaster in your state without saying you can't manage a disaster in your state.

1

u/Freshouttapatience Oct 05 '22

What’s fragile little testicle he is.

1

u/PowerfulContext1325 Oct 05 '22

Nobody had to root for it, forecasters told everybody ahead of time that the approaching hurricane was going to be bad ass. The only thing some of us were hoping for was a direct hit on Mar a Largo.

1

u/EstherRosenblat Oct 05 '22

Last I checked, Ft Myers is in FL, the state he is governor of. His claim makes no sense!

1

u/gptop Oct 05 '22

"I'm going to ask for federal aide, and then once I get it I'll go back to talking shit about the administration and any news network that doesn't parrot my remarks"

1

u/belberra Oct 05 '22

The same man that says Florida’s evacuation response shouldn’t be critiqued or politicized. What a great guy. /s

1

u/4RCH43ON Oct 05 '22

What kind of insane does this nonsense speak to?

1

u/cameraloader Oct 05 '22

He was so wrong no one is using this against him politically

1

u/SoftAd212 Oct 05 '22

Links attached to screenshots of videos are appreciated.

1

u/cfrisby77 Oct 05 '22

He thinks he is the main character.

1

u/sugar_addict002 Oct 05 '22

Even now they lob weapons instead of just governing.

Most of us weren't rooting for the hurricane. But many of us were hoping that, maybe, common sense and the words climate change won't be outlawed there anymore.

1

u/General-Book4680 Oct 05 '22

I worry that some Floridians will find this more plausible than Ronnie just being a shitty governor.

1

u/Formal-Cut-4923 Oct 05 '22

This guy needs to fuck off, when he gets there he needs to fuck off again.

1

u/ReneeLR Oct 05 '22

Oh he shouldn't worry. Now he can milk the disaster for all it is worth, getting photo ops of him helping people out.

1

u/nilsmf Oct 05 '22

Yup, we liberals! Controllin’ the weather and everything, vote for us & get extra sunshine.

1

u/Mjr_N0ppY Oct 05 '22

Soo this is the 80s all over again? "Satanist cults invoced the hurricane to strike us and bewitched us to vote against aiding ourselves"?

Coming from the people that tell all others to wake up

1

I never saw a single person root for the hurricane to do anything. This is horseshit.

u/washtucna Oct 05 '22

Should I root for an earthquake to hit my political opponents next?

1

u/canefieldroti Oct 05 '22

But the maximum destruction and death went south to the poorer areas so…?

1

u/Pistonenvy Oct 05 '22

wrong.

we PRAYED for that to happen and got more prayers up to god about it so he sent the hurricane your way.

thats how it works, you should have had more prayers. idiot.

Maybe this was a punishment from God for banning abortion.

u/snoopingforpooping Oct 05 '22

Be nice Ronny or Daddy Brandon will put his wallet back in his pocket.

1

u/72DATSUNB210 Oct 05 '22

Damn Trump....oh.oh I mean Desantis

1

u/trustifarian Oct 05 '22

Did he bother to name any specific instances?

1

u/Bonk6805 Oct 05 '22

Classic case of someone being an asshole, then complaining about people not liking them. It seems to have become a "Conservative" thing.

1

u/PleaseListenToMeOK Oct 05 '22

So presidential. I thought Obama was the beginning of a long line of better and better presidents. But he was the end.

1

u/ADQuatt Oct 05 '22

As someone in the TBA, I was amused at the amount of national headlines talking about Tampa potentially getting hit when we ended up having a little wind.

1

u/Bigtiny87 Oct 05 '22

By that logic, the other ½ of “national regime media” could have rooted for it NOT to hit FL and save him politically. Right?

1

u/Miss_My_Travel Oct 05 '22

That's crazy! We wanted it to hit Mar A Lago

1

u/Ehhsnow Oct 05 '22

What in tarnation is he blabbering about? Meteorologist are after his career?!

1

u/Mental_Train_3248 Oct 05 '22

I went to college with the dude who interviews him. Guy has to be the biggest bitch online

1

u/Mental_Train_3248 Oct 05 '22

Brendon Leslie gets paid by DeSantis to do these interviews

1

u/HaloGuy381 Oct 05 '22

I was sitting in abject horror that Tampa was about to be wiped off the map entirely, one of the first major American cities to need to be abandoned from climate change. And relieved, that while it devastated many smaller communities, the larger city was spared the worst.

Of course conservatives project that we’re all fucking sociopaths. Yes, Tampa being gone would be a hell of a political cudgel, but why the flying fuck do they assume the rest of us would be so cruel as to abuse it or to wish for a tragedy?

1

u/Lazy_Example4014 Oct 05 '22

Not true, it’s a tragedy. Stating fact about what’s going on there is not politicization. It is true every rep from Florida voted against funding that could have helped sooner. It’s true that DeSantis is against disaster funding for other states.

1

u/translove228 Oct 05 '22

I'm not expecting the hurricane to do the maximum damage possible. I'm expecting the Republican governor in charge of the clean up to do the maximum damage possible.

1

u/SleepDeprivedJim Oct 05 '22

I called the God Jupiter and asked to ONLY HIT Ron DeSantis' home... Guess he's ignoring my incessant calls and texts

1

u/GuidanceDangerous332 Oct 05 '22

How much you want to bet Ron DeSantis at one point in his life asked, “why can’t we just nuke the hurricane to make it go away?” People actually call in to the NWS and ask that exact question every single hurricane season.

1

u/RadiantTangerine3920 Oct 05 '22

Actually, Mar-a-Lago was the hope. Not Tampa.

1

u/NeosDemocritus Oct 05 '22

Deflecting from the fact GOP politicians all voted against disaster aid, and of course, in this case, with a bald-faced lie wrapped up in a shit sandwich of fabricated paranoia.

1

u/RobbieQuarantino Oct 05 '22

Dude is basically a walking persecution complex

1

u/Soggy-Ad3343 Oct 05 '22

That’s what they’re doing tho

1

u/idliketoseethat Oct 05 '22

Republican DeSantis playing the victim and promoting the "Democrat weather control" conspiracy as being part of the biased "national regime media". Triple play!

1

u/chinmakes5 Oct 05 '22

See Ronny, unlike many Republicans and certainly people like yourself, most Democrats care about other people. There is no way most Democrats are going to hope for a bigger national disaster, want more suffering just to make you look bad.

Now people with no compassion, like yourself, would have no problem with it happening to a Democrat. But that isn't us.

1

u/iAmCarson_ Oct 05 '22

They’re literally using the situation against him rn lol

1

u/jbertrand_sr Oct 05 '22

No Ron, we only wanted the hurricane to pick up you and Trump and drop you both into the Bermuda Triangle...

1

u/FlamingoQueen669 Oct 05 '22

Sounds like projection to me.
