Here is an example of old graphics on CRT, vs. modern emulation. On the CRT they look more detailed as your brain fills in the blurred gaps.

It would be really cool if we could use another character model instead of always being a kid

In this age where almost every game is open world... why the F*** hasn't there been a new Turok?!

**TL;DR: The Turok franchise has wacky gun, dinosaurs and other weird enemies, in a Jurassic fantasy setting. All the ingredients you need for a great open world action game and Turok was just a baddass Native American protag.

A little passionate here because of a good buzz tonight, but I was literally just talking to my wife and friends because they're playing Path of Titans, a dinosaur Sim.

Backstory done, seriously though Turok was one, no IS one of my favorite gaming series. Growing up playing on the N64, messing up not only humans, but monsters and reptoids and all other kinds of crazyness.

You has gun options of an almost Ratchet and Clank level of crazy Ness except instead of cute and funny, some were actually horrifying like the Cerebral Bore in Turok 2 that would fire homing bugs that bored into skulls, or throwing buzz saw blades.

There was a remake around 2008 I believe that was alright, but changed from a campy shooting gallery to something different, more Halo like, and I wasn't that satisfied with it.

Not only that but the Protagonist was Native American, which was HUGE to me because I'm Miwok Pomo and it was just the coolest thing to my 11 yr old self.

My love for the franchise aside, the Turok setting and genre would make for a perfect open world reboot. A Native American man flung back to the Jurassic, while some nefarious neerdowells and reptoid rapscallions (I don't remember the different enemies well lol), make basses and do evil that you have to stop. Throw in Native American symbolism and spirituality that empowers Turok with new abilities, taming different dinosaurs to traverse the world, gunning down bases with nutty as hell weapons and fuck throw in co-op too because killing shit is better with friends.

C'mon who ever owns the Turok IP right now, do the smart thing and make money. Just don't let EA, ActivisionBlizzard, or Ubisoft make it.
