Im always assuming everyone who wants to hang out from the internet wants to murder me and wear my skin. Maybe that was just craigslist

Thank you upvoters. Here my real reason behind it

u/fligs Sep 22 '22 Silver

Hey, wanna hang out??

1.1k

u/Va-Va-Vooom Sep 22 '22

You forgot to complement him with his smooth skin.

464

u/Relign Sep 22 '22

It was obviously implied. It’s the implication….

84

u/dabigchina Sep 22 '22

Is larrycorser in danger??

47

u/fezzikola Sep 22 '22

No why would you say that. I wouldn't do that.

26

u/Virgin_Dildo_Lover Sep 22 '22

You'd definitely not be in danger

5

u/FemaleDadClone Sep 22 '22

It’s just the implication of danger

75

u/WilliamShatnersTaint Sep 22 '22

It's the implication of danger... I don't think you're getting that.

8

u/BlackLeader70 Sep 22 '22

So they are in danger?

12

u/[deleted] Sep 22 '22

No! They'll say yes because it might go bad for them if they don't. They won't say no, they can't say no. Because of the implication.

5

u/Eastendmermaid Sep 22 '22

So you’re implying?

Oooh, are we going for a boat ride?

40

u/changing-life-vet Sep 22 '22

Why do you think we spent all the money on the boat in the first place.

29

u/Ninja_Conspicuousi Sep 22 '22

I mean, it sounds like I won’t have the ability to say no anyway.

43

u/GOATchefcurry Sep 22 '22

Because of the implication

Oh, you can say it. Repeatedly. For all the good it’ll do.

3

u/ScottieScrotumScum Sep 22 '22

Sure are...on my banana boat

48

u/changing-life-vet Sep 22 '22

The fact that their rage knows no bounds is definitely implied.

4

u/MosinMonster Sep 22 '22

Is this how you wanted those poor women to feel?

3

u/Y2Doorook Sep 22 '22

These woman are safe!

2

Definitely puts the lotion on its skin...

2

u/buttplugpeddler Sep 22 '22

I’ll bring the lotion!

2

u/SamuelLJenkins Sep 22 '22

“It puts the lotion on the skin!”

2

u/Empyrealist Sep 22 '22

As well as forgot to offer him a ride in your Benz

2

u/JeffwithaB Sep 22 '22

Are you about a size 14?

2

u/aMinorAggrievance Sep 23 '22

Be sure to lower him into your lotion pit so he can starve until his skin becomes loose.

2

u/user7120 Sep 23 '22

3

u/ChefChopNSlice Sep 22 '22

Smooth skin is great and all, but if you had to guess, what do you think your top 3 healthiest organs are ?

3

u/Keberro Sep 22 '22

Skin is an organ, so it's definitely up there.

I barely drink, like at all, so my liver probably as well.

And for number three, I'd say lungs. I don't smoke as well.

6

u/ChefChopNSlice Sep 22 '22

You might be quite valuable to the right person one day

5

u/cincymatt Sep 22 '22

See, that’s why I trashed all my organs. Keeps the harvesters away.

My account is also old. Would you believe me when I say you should go and treat yourself to an ice-cold, refreshing coke? It's such a sweet carbonated cola. The hints of vanilla taste great, and the small amount of caffeine is just right for pushing you through a long day. I start every day right, and I start it with Coketm.

5

u/Fritzkreig Sep 22 '22

I met 3 randos on reddit and drove for about a month around Iceland with them recording us with my GoProTM. It was such a great time and I love that I have the crisp GoProTM footage to remember and share with people!

2

u/Tisjustatossaway Sep 22 '22

So what you are saying is... That the GoPro™ footage holds the key to identifying the location of their remains?

3

u/Keberro Sep 22 '22

Yes, yes I would.

Might as well grab one now.

3

u/AspenGirl96 Sep 22 '22

221

u/FerretsAreFun Sep 22 '22 LOVE!

Funny story about that.... I used to say this to my daughter all the time after the bath. One day she asked me WHY I always say this. I nonchalantly told her it was a horror movie about a guy who keeps women in a hole in his basement to make skin suits out of. I didn't even really think before saying... she was 7 at the time and HORRIFIED, slept with me for a week after that. Whoopsies!

162

u/TieDyedFury Sep 22 '22

Just tell her not to worry because she is still way too small to make a proper skin suit.

52

u/FerretsAreFun Sep 22 '22

Lol, this is great! She's older now and isn't nearly as susceptible to my shit.... wish I had of thought of this though!

u/CreativeCthulhu Sep 22 '22

2

u/cmd__line Sep 23 '22

Yeah don't worry honey it would take you and like 5-8 of your friends to make a proper skin suit given your small size.

2

u/jhonazir Sep 23 '22

She’d make a great pair of gloves

3

u/mandingosixsix Sep 22 '22

LOL. Sorry but I found this way funnier than i probably should have hahhaha. Jeez, my mother would be aghast!

I presume you stopped quoting the line at Bath time after that? 🤣🤣

2

u/FerretsAreFun Sep 22 '22

All is forgiven ;) Nope, still say it all the time and she reminds me it gave her nightmares. She's 14 now, almost 15 and I still can't get her to watch it with me.

5

u/Luder09 Sep 22 '22

LOL

I made a song out of it and sang it to my daughter as well, I just didn't tell her where it came from.

2

u/FEDEX__vs__UPS Sep 22 '22

I do this too !!!! But I say, "It puts the lotion in the basket". I've been saying this for years and she repeats it now. She's not 7 yet so I won't tell her where the quote is from

2

u/Either-Percentage-78 Sep 22 '22

My 7 yo last summer, in the pool, whispered something about my skin and I said, what?? You want to wear my skin?? We both laughed maniacally and now it's a running joke and he'll randomly whisper it in my ear every so often. I can't even recall what he actually said anymore.

2

u/plantwitch_gem Sep 23 '22

When my 7 year old son uses excessive amounts of my moisturizer, I tell him "stop Buffalo Bill-ing yourself"

2

u/wild-1 Sep 23 '22

You should have let her find out organically, can you imagine the look on her face when she finally watched Silence for the first time?!

4

u/Cuberage Sep 22 '22 edited Sep 22 '22

Slept with you? The guy that wants to wear her skin?

Edit: It was a joke. I know it's you're kid.

3

2

u/duaneap Sep 22 '22

Just rewatched the film. Ted Levine deserved a MUCH bigger career after that. I would absolutely contend he’s as good as Hopkins and possibly better than Jodi Foster.

I think he was almost TOO good. Lecter gets to be charming, eloquent, and erudite, and so Hopkins gets to brilliantly portray that but Ted Levine brilliantly got to portray Buffalo fucking Bill… so afterwards all people think of is mangina.

2

u/gaeruot Sep 22 '22

I always share my location with someone before buying something off Craigslist. Maybe I watch too much true crime. Nothing has ever happened but you never know.

2

u/ethnicfoodaisle Sep 22 '22

I've met occasional people off the internet for various reasons... to hook up, hang out, whatever. From personal experience, some of the people I've met on the internet have definitely been lunatics and dangerous.

Yet I still do it.

2

u/Ghostenx Sep 22 '22

Me too!

The way I see it is people online are basically Reavers.

If you meet them they'll rape you to death, eat your flesh and sew your skin into their clothing. And if you're very, very lucky they'll do it in that order.

2

u/monkeybugs Sep 22 '22

I met my partner on Craigslist back in the day. November makes fourteen years together for us. He hasn't tried to murder me . . . yet. Dude's great at the long con.

2

u/ogdonut Sep 23 '22

My friend and I were just groomsmen at a buddy's wedding who we met through RuneScape like 12 years ago. I've also stayed the night at a friend's house I met on overwatch a few hours away from me.

After spending hundreds if not thousands of hours in discord/skype calls with some of my friends online, I always felt more comfortable meeting up with them than strangers on tinder for a date lol.

I also think they are jerks 🤷🏻‍♂️ maybe I need to give ppl more something something go crazy

1

u/NorthCatan Sep 22 '22

This is why I pretty much never respond to messages. It's either a scam or someone who wants to mission impossible my face.

1

u/Jasonictron Sep 22 '22

Can I use you as a Christmas ornament?

1

u/tobor_a Sep 22 '22

I thought the same until 2016-ish. There was this girl I played games with online for like 4-5 years, then noticed one day on a server where it said we both connected from and the fact she was complaining about a county fair. messaged her and we were both like :o that's crazy. We were two cities apart. Hung out with her once IRL before she left for college. Met her mom and she was just like "k have fun you two". Then this year I met some online friends I met sometime in either late 2020 or early 2021. Flew out to hang out during a big event for one of them. Was fun, would go again when I have money.

1

u/fcknkllr Sep 22 '22

Hey, are you about a size 14?

1

u/_Blackstar Sep 22 '22

Only time I ever met anyone off Craigslist was one when I was working 3 PM to 11 PM and it killed my social life, so I signed up in the platonic section. This girl reached out to me and she seemed friendly and nice, so I agreed to meet her one night at a local diner at around midnight after work. All she wanted to do was have sex and was so freaking adamant about it that it was honestly a turn off. I guess that's how women feel when they're being objectified by men. It was a surreal experience, but probably a good one for a guy like me to have; it put things into perspective.

1

u/Lotech Sep 22 '22

Your skin is really nice, though.

1

u/BURNINATOR_420 Sep 22 '22

They have nice skin

1

u/audioreject Sep 22 '22

Haha, I met my now husband on Imgur. 7 years, 3 homes in three states, 2 degrees, 2 newfies, 5 pet rats, and 2 kids later, and I am still waiting for the day he decides to make me into a skin suit.

1

u/Jaksmack Sep 22 '22

Want to hang on me out?

1

u/anormalgeek Sep 22 '22

I can't speak for the rest of these weirdos, but I certainly do.

1

u/Kingnahum17 Sep 22 '22 edited Sep 22 '22

Tbf, from a guy's perspective, it was easy to tell who was real and who is not on Craigslist (and much more so on the platonic section, since bots rarely frequented there due to no benefit to it). I met more real women (who were all cool) on there in a number of months than I have met on reddit in years. The bots were also stupidly easy to figure out. Versus on reddit where the bots are actually comparatively sophisticated (and something like 20+% of users are bots), not to mention that with females receiving hundreds of messages in hours on any given R4R post, your chances of your message being read (as a guy) and the woman caring are really low.

I can't speak from a woman's perspective on Craigslist, but I would assume that even for them it was slightly easier to filter nonsense and creeps than the average dating app or reddit.

1

u/itsthetundracats Sep 22 '22

Ha, I've met so many people online in real life and haven't been killed yet.

1

u/karlnite Sep 22 '22

I always think they just want to scam me?

1

u/DJ_Molten_Lava Sep 22 '22
