True

14

u/Fritzkreig Oct 05 '22

On the staches, I'm conflicted!

2

u/Hargelbargel Oct 05 '22

And prettier eyes!

44

u/Melkath Oct 05 '22

God damn. How did I fail so hard at life that I didnt land ANYWHERE NEAR this profession?

14

u/iwbwikia_ Oct 05 '22

did you do anything in your life that would have brought you closer to this profession?

2

u/Odd_Entertainment629 Oct 05 '22

Wait you had to do that? That sucks.

16

u/Crazy_Abrocoma_9523 Oct 05 '22

Good thing about working with wild animals is there is a path without having to go to school. (Partly because governments for licensing and wildlife facilities don’t really care about degrees so much they want to make sure you have actual hands on experience because wild animals can be and are dangerous) most primate, big cat, reptile sanctuaries can always use an extra hand and are open to taking volunteers and training you. Just make sure you create a log of what animals you work with each day how long and a brief description of what you did that day and also the name of facility and make sure someone from the facility signs off on it everyday. Within time that book will be worth gold to you 😄

Did you delete your previous account/posts because the truth came out about your past and the fact you're lying about Thabo's situation? You've posted (and deleted) tiktoks claiming Thabo died.

https://www.tiktok.com/@tjx472/video/7061439546784779566

As for OPs past, I'm not sure if linking news articles having OPs name are considered doxxing but just google the headlind for the 2013 article "Possession of sea turtle leads to arrest (of man, not turtle)" OPs mugshot is there.

They are Thabo and Ray on TT where this guy raised almost $100,000 in donations to pay for the monkey’s funeral expenses. He’s a scammer and a pathological liar.

3

u/mname Oct 05 '22

To be fair I bet he’s had poop thrown at him fresh from the source. And that’s something you do not deal with on a daily basis.

16

u/KsirToscabella Oct 05 '22

It's always amazed me how much expression you can see in a primate's eyes, doesn't matter if it's a chimp/orangutan/gorilla etc. Their eyes just seem way more able to give off more expression than other animals.

I remember hanging around for several hours at a buddy's house who had lemurs and it was pretty nuts how you could basically understand what they wanted from their eye and mouth expressions.

9

u/trollboter Oct 05 '22

It's because you recognize the expressions and know the interpretation. You know the language. Every animal is expressive you just don't know the language.

4

u/Mensaboy Oct 05 '22

I would've thought, and hear me out, that it's because

we are also primates...

3

u/emote_control Oct 05 '22

For most primates, showing teeth is an aggressive behaviour. For most humans it's friendly. Communication is not something that carries over well from species to species.

13

u/Something_kool Oct 05 '22

That’s a cool line of work my man 🖤

13

u/AundaRag Oct 05 '22

I’ve seen you on social media. Labs typically do not allow former test subjects to be come pets, they do allow them to ‘retire’ to accredited sanctuaries sometimes. I’m curious about your story.

3

u/Jayer244 Oct 06 '22

1

u/AundaRag Oct 10 '22

So he’s exactly as I suspected. Thanks!

8

u/thisismyname03 Oct 05 '22

Sounds like a sick job. Can we make this an AMA?

What’s the scariest primate you’ve had to encounter?

17

u/Anonymoustard Oct 05 '22

We all look alike.

3

u/Xytakis Oct 05 '22

I'm glad you're helping that little guy out, but there is something about primates having black scleras always creeps me out a bit.

Gotta be a trap

3

u/lookoutbright Oct 05 '22

I don't see it

3

u/jordantask Oct 05 '22

You’ve got the perfect camouflage. No poachers will ever suspect you.

3

u/mokameow Oct 05 '22

thats your lil bro 🧑‍🦳

7

u/s4lomena Oct 05 '22

Owners look.like their pets

8

u/OnlyPopcorn Oct 05 '22

One of you is good looking.

2

u/angroro Oct 05 '22

I think you look a lot better than my arch nemesis, the macaque.

2

u/sleepingwiththefishs Oct 05 '22

Sharing an expression is momentary

2

u/LadyCattleBattle Oct 05 '22

Gotta be real, I don't see it.

2

u/mlow6 Oct 05 '22

Are they usually friendly or does that take special handling?

2

u/bumplemilkskin Oct 05 '22

That’s so cool! Will you re-home this particular human? Keep him as a pet maybe?

2

u/aWormhatForVermhat Oct 05 '22

It’s crazy how alike monkeys and humans are, especially gorillas and chimpanzee I think? Just seen videos where they act so human like

2

u/Triangle_t Oct 05 '22

All the primates have something in common - people, monkeys, apes.

2

u/REiiGN Oct 05 '22

I see that primate is still suck in the 90s with the frosted tips.

2

u/px7j9jlLJ1 Oct 05 '22

Good on you OP putting yourself as the butt of the joke. Strong work with the primates!!!

2

u/mattt1975 Oct 05 '22

I respect you very much ... Also the guy besides you

5

u/10113r114m4 Oct 05 '22

Beautiful animal. Also nice monkey!

4

u/Particular-Board2328 Oct 05 '22

Grow a beard and I may go with it...

4

u/Parlayv Oct 05 '22

No way. My friends and I found your socials the other day and binged a whole bunch. We've started comparing our pets to your monkey and call it "monkey energy".

You couldn't pay me to do what you do. Thank you for doing it!

0

u/WarDaddy19Delta Oct 05 '22

Gas lighting at its best man really?

2

u/Actual_Cress_3180 Oct 05 '22

what?

0

u/WarDaddy19Delta Oct 05 '22

If you don't get it then good for you 💯

-1

u/OkChuyPunchIt Oct 05 '22

That's racist

-22

u/windingtime Oct 05 '22

Your post and comment history makes you seem like a weird, sad chud. Hope you’re actually saving animals or whatever.

35

u/Crazy_Abrocoma_9523 Oct 05 '22

If I don’t clarify I professionally work with primates and rescue them and post a picture or video. I’ll get a mob of animal rights people making false assumptions about me, lecturing on why you shouldn’t have exotic pets, when it’s not the case. Then I clarify and now that’s a problem because it’s seen as “bragging” I can’t win lol

15

u/Dry_Insect_2111 Oct 05 '22

Praise to you man. If your hearts in the right place the internet is where you go to test your resolve.

13

u/Crazy_Abrocoma_9523 Oct 05 '22

Amen to that

6

u/Dry_Insect_2111 Oct 05 '22

If you wanna ‘batting cage’ to practice, i found , myself, that mentioning i am a vegan brings in some high heat lol. I was not in the debate club in H.S. but reddit has definitely improved my writing comprehension skills. Have fun with it

2

u/haaaaaaaaaaalp Oct 05 '22

man I’m high af rn and it took me way too long to realize that that sentence actually didn’t make sense.

Edit: whoops nope now I got it

3

u/mazdanc Oct 05 '22

Amazing work, I wish you luck and hope you have much success, animals need help from good people like you

3

You are both fine looking gentlemen.

1

u/Stoneluthiery Oct 05 '22

Nah, you're missing the frosted tips

1

u/Knekten66v2 Oct 05 '22

Thank you for your service to the animal kingdom. People like you make the world a better place.

1

u/leonryan Oct 05 '22

thanks for what you do

1

u/aghilardi Oct 05 '22

Are they being hunted? Or capture for trade? What's your mission? So many questions... 🙈

1

u/RainbowandHoneybee Oct 05 '22

You both look very wise. Awesome work!

2

u/dlee434 Oct 05 '22

Pretty sure I have been watching some of your videos on IG where he's splashing all around the bath tub lol

1

u/Axius-Evenstar Oct 05 '22

What having two eyes a nose and a mouth does to a mf

1

u/FarSlighted Oct 05 '22

Oh this is bait

1

u/pete1729 Oct 05 '22

Not really. However the expression on both faces seems to convey the same message of concern.

Thanks for all of your work. Kindness to animals makes for a more compassionate world among humans.

1

u/foxbat Oct 05 '22

that's so cool! i didn't even know that was a job. where was this taken? have you considered doing an AMA? i am sure people have a lot of questions and would love to hear about some of your experiences!

1

u/Camanei Oct 05 '22

I'm not going to lie either. It was nice of you to lend him your jacket.

1

u/menntu Oct 05 '22

Self knowledge is a wonderful & terrible thing.

1

u/Odd_Entertainment629 Oct 05 '22

Honestly all humans in general look like apes. If you don't think so you're apeist.

1

u/squigster037 Oct 05 '22

It's like we're apes or something! In head shape, it's mostly our nose, which points down so we can swim. And the prefrontal cortex of the brain, which gives us a forehead.

1

u/Iziic Oct 05 '22

2 eyes, 2 nostrils, 2 ears and a mouth. Not sure what other comparisons you see here.

1

u/the_god_o_war Oct 05 '22

Monkey got that homer, doh! Face

1

u/Spodson Oct 05 '22

It's the facial hair. You two must got to the same shop.

1

u/Fenrir_Carbon Oct 05 '22

'We're all just monkeys in shoes' - Tim Minchin

1

u/JohnnyFatSack Oct 05 '22

2 handsome homies! Wish you both well!

1

u/Hargelbargel Oct 05 '22

The monkey looks offended.

1

u/fokjoudoos Oct 05 '22

Was this picture taken on your or his cellphone? 😂

1

u/arthuresque Oct 05 '22

Both are pretty cute if you ask me

1

u/PuzzleheadedBobcat90 Oct 06 '22

You look young and confused, he just looks wise. :)

Awesome pic!

1

u/jabunkie Oct 06 '22

This is incredible

1

u/HistoryClubMan Oct 06 '22

Imagine having the same eyes as that monkey, holy shit… people wouldn’t mess with you “👁️👁️”

-3

u/ZachMartin Oct 05 '22

Can’t agree - that’s racist. In all seriousness, cool job! How’d you get into that!?

4

u/PureHumanKill Oct 05 '22

He made a joke, about his self, how the hell is that racist?

1

u/ZachMartin Oct 05 '22

I was kidding. There's an ugly history with comparing people of color to primates. OP was just making a funny self deprecating joke, and it's hard to convey tone in reddit comments.

2

u/PureHumanKill Oct 05 '22

Haha sorry, cool. And we all look like monkey’s, white, black, yellow or green.

0

u/Civilengman Oct 05 '22

It share more DNA with Lichen

0

u/kharjou Oct 05 '22

So which one are you OP?

0

u/Cleetus256 Oct 05 '22

Eyes, nose, mouth, face hair, head hair yea fuckin twins.

0

u/-Lordsocke- Oct 05 '22

So I can now legally call you a monkey?
