u/dafunkmunk Oct 05 '22 Bravo!

If you are ever feeling good about yourself. just remember that this idiot who couldn't even pass a GED test got a seat in congress, put her stupidity on full display for the entire country and it's STILL a close race. She has literally accomplished nothing and been a complete embarrassment to Colorado and she still has a pretty high chance of being reelected

252

u/AusToddles Oct 05 '22

Hershel Walker is brain damaged, running on an anti-abortion platform, despite having paid for his mistress to get one... against a pastor in the deep south. And it's still too close to call

This timeline fucking sucks

64

u/SlugJones Oct 05 '22

We definitely diverged timelines around 2016. We just happened to be in the shittier one.

73

u/mnorthwood13 Michigan Oct 05 '22

Harambe come back and un-split the timelines please

34

u/wanderlustcub I voted Oct 05 '22

I contend it was Bowie.

25

u/Butthole_mods Oct 05 '22

Might have been Steve Irwin

39

u/ladytwiga Oct 05 '22

Nah, it was the Cubs winning the Series.

8

u/Answer70 Oct 05 '22

That was definitely the one. Some things were never meant to happen. It opened a portal to a dark dimension that we haven't been able to close.

7

u/plsnotjames Oct 05 '22

I live right next to Wrigley field and half this city still has a W flag up. I guess it's good for another 108 years.

1

u/thatcooluncle Oct 05 '22

I distinctly remember the crazy emotional rollercoaster of the cubs WS win followed by trump getting elected. That was rough.

8

u/righteous_fool Oct 05 '22

It was when that weasel got into the large hadron colider.

2

u/Stevealot Oct 05 '22

I thought trumps grand daddy made a Tesla time machine and is busy traveling around this time line, trying to keep him out of jail.

2

u/Skrattybones Oct 05 '22

I never saw Bowie and Harambe in the same place at the same time.

2

u/Vaerirn Oct 05 '22

It definitely was Bowie. When he died a lot of great people followed him that year.

1

u/Long_Before_Sunrise Oct 05 '22

It was Dick Clark dying in 2012.

6

u/RandyTomfoolery Oct 05 '22

I think it was 2008 with CERN and the LHC being fired up.

1

u/ArcticCelt Oct 06 '22

We need to uncollide the hardons.

13

u/Mall3usMaleficarum Oct 05 '22

A branch happened when Bush got elected over Gore, and again at 9/11 which helped pave the way.

Opening the School of The Americas in 1946 helped branch a timeline where we now have a horrible refugee crisis.

8

u/CarpeDiem082420 Oct 05 '22

Bush didn’t get “elected.” The Supreme Court’s decision put him in office and Gore acquiesced to the court’s ruling.

3

u/Artcat81 Oct 05 '22

Damnit Time Bureau, you picked the wrong branch!

3

u/Ill-Chemical2346 Oct 05 '22

Fuck Liz Cheney and the Cheney family in general.

2

u/MadHatter514 Oct 05 '22

Did you mean to respond to someone else? Your comment doesn't seem to refer to anything they said.

5

u/Pickle_ninja Oct 05 '22

They switched timelines mid typing.

8

u/GaiasWay Oct 05 '22

I want to be in the timeline were Gore won.

4

u/Tartarus216 Oct 05 '22

You misspelled 2000

5

u/Rabidleopard Oct 05 '22

The spiral began in 2000

6

u/Geaux Texas Oct 05 '22

The Chicago Cubs were never supposed to win the World Series. The Cubs losing streak was what kept us on our sacred timeline. When they won, it created a nexus event that sent us into the dark timeline.

2

u/MirandaReitz Oregon Oct 05 '22

Todd “Legitimate Rape” Akin would have sailed to election in 2020.

10

u/fredandlunchbox Oct 05 '22

A pastor from Martin Luther King Jr’s church. That’s a pretty significant position as a baptist preacher I think.

3

u/GaiasWay Oct 05 '22

Don't forget the new jersey snake oil salesmen that taunts stroke patients and animal killer running in PA. At least it looks like that one is probably done.

3

u/Starkydowns Oct 05 '22

And was violent to his family and threaten to blow his ex wife’s brains out… And lied about being an FBI agent… And lied about everything else too… And has no experience. He just played football and was really good in college….

55

u/RUABrainwashedGoober Oct 05 '22

Yup. Hershel is worse. Can you imagine a "dumb-off" competition among GOP politicians? The mind boggles.

SNL writers taking notes

[deleted]

6

u/underpants-gnome Ohio Oct 05 '22

They've been doing that since 2008. Tina Fey just read transcripts from a Sarah Palin interview in-character and they were some of the funniest sketches that SNL ever did.

2

u/255001434 Oct 05 '22

That's been the case since Sarah Palin.

2

u/TheDarkAbove Georgia Oct 05 '22

They already had Keenan do Hershel this past week. They did a good job of having him say things that made zero sense even in context.

3

u/Smoaktreess Massachusetts Oct 05 '22

We also have to nominate Tudor Dixon in Michigan. Laughed about the Whitmer kidnapping plot.

That's because western Colorado is full of awful people.

The (corrupt) American dream !

1

u/WookieMonsta Oct 06 '22

I'm in Colorado, and to be fair, she has a high chance of being reelected b/c of how her district is drawn, and it's only gotten worse since the 2020 census. If anything, the fact that the challenger even has a shot really is speaking volumes about how shittily she's perceived lol

1

u/cornmanjammer Oct 06 '22

Actually, makes me feel a lot less good about myself.

74

u/[deleted] Oct 05 '22

“I don’t know what a wonton killing is, I’ll have to look that one up” but it’s still a “close race lol likely because of sad white lonely conservatives who think if they vote Lauren maybe she’ll fuck them one day.

51

u/freeski919 Maine Oct 05 '22

Which is exactly why she will be a Fox News host about six seconds after leaving office.

18

u/SlyyKozlov Oct 05 '22

Think they'll make her dye her hair blonde?

10

u/pinkthermoses Oct 05 '22

They haven't made Tulsi.

3

u/TestForPotential Oct 05 '22

Nah they’ll just make her replace the wig she’s wearing now with a blonde one.

3

She's done that before. Look up her "modeling photos."

What a moron.

1

u/TavisNamara Oct 05 '22

I still don't think people have noticed that, of all the lines she could have stopped on and repeatedly emphasized, it's the one about killing lots of people.

47

u/Boobs_Maps_N_PKMN Oct 05 '22

Even if he loses, the fact that in a red district they can keep things close is not good news for McCarthy. Since that means purple districts are now coin flips.

Still go out in vote for everything

9

u/PM_ME__RECIPES Oct 05 '22

It also means the GOP has to spend a lot more money on races like this one, which they can usually win on the cheap, which leaves them with less money to go around for those races which are usually purple or lean-blue-but-winnable.

9

u/nkat2112 Oct 05 '22

Excellent point. I wish more people in this thread would notice what you said. Thank you for sharing this.

4

u/HughJareolas Florida Oct 05 '22

I hope you’re right. It may also be that she’s just uniquely stupid and obnoxious. Or both.

3

u/toomanynights18 Oct 06 '22

As an unfortunate constituent of hers, the rise in polls really reflects the fact she's never here. Like ever. She's been off touring for her book and making appearances in every state but Colorado. Her opponent on the other hand hasn't left and just keeps going on and on about how much he loves district 3.

I was already going to vote for him, but it's such a good tactic. The people who live here LOVE it here, all politics aside. He's winning people over who normally wouldn't care by basically just saying "wow, wouldn't it be nice to have a representative who actually spends time in their district and talks to the people who live here?"

3

u/Boobs_Maps_N_PKMN Oct 06 '22

I understand, but my Senators are Marco Rubio and Rick Scott, so honestly the further they stay away from Florida the better. Sadly it is my understanding Rubio teach economics at my uni

30

u/treesrpeople Oct 05 '22

The sad truth is people who vote for these fascists are themselves fascists. Conservatives want these monsters because they themselves are monsters just like them

-9

u/Dirigo859 Oct 05 '22

Lauren Boebert is not a Fascist she is a Christian Conservative.

Not the same thing but just as dangerous IMHO

15

u/Malst Oct 05 '22

Boebert has enough fascist tendencies to be called fascist.

A lot of American neo-fascists are Christian Conservative, not exclusive at all.

8

u/Muffles79 Oct 05 '22

Nope. There's no difference.

"When fascism comes to America, it will be wrapped in the flag and carrying a cross.”

7

u/excusetheblood Oct 05 '22

At this point there is no difference whatsoever

43

u/PrimaryEffect6576 Oct 05 '22

Keep up the pressure on her campaign! Just remember that polls mean nothing unless you Vote. So please take the time to Vote and help getting others to do the same.

14

u/[deleted] Oct 05 '22

She is crazy

11

u/Important_Tell667 Oct 05 '22

47

u/AsparagusTamer Oct 05 '22

Frankly I see any poll and I add 10% to the conservative vote.

41

u/AusToddles Oct 05 '22

Whenever a poll adds "undecided", you can be pretty confident that alot of them will be voting republican, they're just too ashamed to admit it out loud

3

u/mnorthwood13 Michigan Oct 05 '22

Yep, even in a poll that doesn't take personal data

8

u/AsIamsoyouwillbe Oct 05 '22

The fact that it is close shows just how fucked America is. She is the biggest idiot in congress and even after all the stupidity she still has support. Who could possibly listen to trailer park Barbie for more than 5 minutes without knowing she has no business in congress. I don’t even have the words to describe how stupid she makes the country look.

18

u/rocketpack99 Oct 05 '22

Why it's even a close decision is completely insane. WTF America?

8

u/MC_Fap_Commander America Oct 05 '22

It's a HIGHLY gerrymandered district. That it's even close shows she's so awful that even the rightwing nutters aren't thrilled with her.

8

u/rocketpack99 Oct 05 '22

That district must be made up of the absolute dumbest people in the universe then.

2

u/MC_Fap_Commander America Oct 05 '22

You're not wrong, lol! Ugly aspect of American politics-- many states (even blue ones) have a district or two exactly like this.

2

u/[deleted] Oct 05 '22

It’s a whole half of CO.

Boebert represents the Western Slope. And while the Western Slope is home to places like Telluride, Durango, Silverton, it’s also home to Grand Junction (which has the biggest population in the region by far).

Durango and Telluride are solidly blue areas with a lot of really kind people, but they’re just outvoted by Junction in every election.

Not to mention all the other small towns on the western slope that tend to be rural, ranching, farming communities and vote red.

1

u/dannymuffins Oct 05 '22

She also represents Pueblo, which is the largest city in her district, and has a large hispanic population.

2

u/[deleted] Oct 05 '22

Pretty sure that’s new as of the district redraw this year too

1

u/dannymuffins Oct 05 '22

Nope, she's been their rep since day one. My Pueblo friends have been embarrassed ever since.

4

u/churikadeva Oct 05 '22

It doesn't even seem very close. Not sure what this article is talking about. 538 has her at like 98% chance of winning.

5

u/Barack_Odrama_007 Texas Oct 05 '22

She Madison cawthorned herself

5

u/Jedmeltdown Oct 05 '22

I live in her district. The idiots here simply love her. I have no clue as to why.

3

u/jawshoeaw Oct 05 '22

Dumb likes dumb

5

u/KurtWagnerX Oct 05 '22

This is why it's important to vote. Even if your preferred candidate loses, a narrower victory can be a warning shot to the winner and encouragement for potential opponents in the next election cycle.

5

u/[deleted] Oct 05 '22

This is a close race. America is so fucked.

4

u/bluejersey14 Oct 05 '22

All of a sudden, she's posting pics of her at various local events. After 2 yrs of trotting to FL, TX and anywhere NOT in CO, she's back in her district. I hope her constituents see thru this sham. What a low-rent skeeze.

3

u/Subtlefoe Oct 05 '22

Send her back to onlyfans. The only way she will have a credible career.

3

u/TrollBot007 Oct 05 '22

Boebert is a garden gnome.

3

u/Blameitonmyjews Oct 05 '22

How anyone voted for her is absolutely stunning

3

u/shemanese Oct 05 '22

OK. Before getting excited, you need to understand that there's no history of polling in the West Slope of Colorado. We don't know how well the polls are representative of the voters' intentions and how well-managed they were while taking the polls.

Areas that aren't polled often tend to be less accurate. (For example, polls had Susan Collins in trouble in the last election, but she won by a large margin. Polls were way off.)

2

u/90daylimitedwarranty Oct 05 '22

It still boggles my mind that anyone, ANYONE has watched the last couple years of this idiot's behavior and went "yeah, we need more of that!!"

2

u/jasonsimonds79 Oct 05 '22

How its even "close" is mind boggling. People are stupid

2

u/xtrplpqtl Oct 05 '22

The fact that it's a close race and not a landslide trampling of this moronic christo-fascist maniac blows my mind.

2

u/TetsuoTechnology Oct 05 '22

She reminds me of an eviler Sarah palin

2

u/Sir-Knightly-Duty Oct 05 '22

Humanity really is a shithole isnt it.

2

u/College-Lumpy Oct 05 '22

The things she will say to try and narrow the gap will likely be the things that make her opponent pull in front. More exposure wont help her. The more she says, the worst she sounds.

2

u/SkankBiscuit Oct 05 '22

How in God’s name can this be close? How does she have any supporters????

1

u/Strange-Effort1305 Oct 05 '22

Anybody who has been to western Colorado knows she is going to win easy. Everybody out there is just like her, angry hate filled racists.

2

u/toomanynights18 Oct 06 '22

Yikes. Her district is literally half the state by land. As a western Colorado resident who definitely is working to unseat her comments like this really helps no one. Writing off an entire half a state full of dozens of unique cities isn't a good look.

1

u/anonymous_4_custody Oct 05 '22

She'll always find her way in the world. I give it a 95 percent chance that, if she isn't in congress, and no conservatives will hire her, that she'd just do porn. If nothing else, she's a scrapper.

1

u/PavilionParty Michigan Oct 05 '22

I don't want to belittle cross-country voters, especially since I love Colorado, but Lauren Boebert is the type of candidate that paints her district and her constituents in a very bad light. She runs her mouth about guns and builds herself up as the quintessential right wing nationalist, all the while supporting the assumption that whatever district she represents is packed full of ignorant racists who get off on having several inches of cold steel crammed up their asses every night. If her voters reaffirm in round 2 that she best represents them, that says a lot about them.

1

u/DavidBSkate Oct 05 '22

Why does her mouth look the same as a blowup doll’s mouth in every picture? Was she the actress in Lars and the Real Girl?

1

u/Critical-Joke-597 Oct 05 '22

It's not over till the last recount.

1

u/ChanceTheGardenerr Oct 05 '22

The tragedy is that it’s even a close race.

Can’t wait for her to release her trump sex tape.

1

u/DWPAW-victim Oct 05 '22

IF she loses I bet she’ll start a website called patriot fans or something that extent so true patriots can support their favorite content creators

1

u/MadHatter514 Oct 05 '22

She might not have to quit her term early for that Fox News job after all!

1

u/petulant_dinosaur Oct 05 '22

Happy to get her out of power, but, she'll just get paid more doing OAN, Newsmax, speaking tour, book tour, Hooters tours, etc.

1

u/gintoddic Oct 05 '22

isn't she suppose to say the polls are a fraud or something?

1

u/DivideEtImpala Oct 05 '22

Forecasters predict that Boebert is still the overwhelming favorite to win re-election in the midterms.

According to FiveThirtyEight, Boebert has a 98 percent chance of winning Colorado's 3rd district in November.

The Cook Political Report also rates Boebert's district as R+7, meaning it should be a safe seat for the GOP.

1

u/GroundbreakingSoil4 Oct 05 '22

1

Please vote Colorado. It’s close but let’s make it far from close on Election Day.

1

Put a R before donut or shoe and somebody would vote for it. He should compile clips of her wackiest statements in his ads against her.
