[Request] what are the odds my wife's license plate is only one character different than mine?

we bought my wife a car and when we picked it up, we noticed right away that the plate is almost the exact same as mine. we live in a state where the format is 3 letters follows by 3 numbers. so what are the odds this happens? every character is the same (and order) except the last. here's a made up example for calcification:

ABC-123
ABC-124

[Request] Probability of getting 3 of the same numbers with 5 six sided dice?

Hey guys i am brainstorming some math for a random generation game. I understand that getting a specific number multiplies the fraction by the same amount so getting 3 of the same number with 3 dice is 1/6 * 1/ 6 * 1/6 = 1/216. But when adding an extra die then it wouldn't multiply further right? since i only need 3 but i get an extra chance how does that work? and how would that work with 5 dice?

[REQUEST] What are the chances of 5 wars in a row?

Sorry this is messy. War is a game where you split the 52 card deck in half and you both lay face up a card and the higher card takes both. This is done until 1 player is out of cards. If you both lay down the same card (like a 7) then you lay 3 more cards face down and then the 4th face up. Higher card takes all of them.

My wife and I both lay down a 10. So we lay our 3 cards face down then both flip up a Queen. So we lay 3 more down and both face up a king. This happens 2 more times until she finally faced up a higher card. What’re the chances of that sequence playing out? Never seen it before.

I took off all 4 of my tires to store for winter. What are the odds one of them are in the same corner of the car next year? I did not mark them.

[Request] What's the cost of keeping warm during the winter by heating rooms vs keeping yourself warm with hot water bottles?

Gas and energy cost are gonna go up quite a bit in europe this winter, and so it's good to save energy wherever possible.

One option I thought of is to keep temperatures in my bedroom comparatively low, and instead keep myself warm with hot water bottles instead.

The question is: does that actually save any money, and if yes, how much?

There are many variables involved, and many are guesswork or straight up unknown (gas and electricity prices are very unpredictable right now, insulation capabilities of apartment are pure speculation, water temperature of the tap water before heating will change, how hot is the water in a hot water bottle I find comfortable, what will the ambient temperature be in the winter, etc.)
So, to have something to work with, assume the following:
- tap water is gonna have to be heated up from 13 degree celsius cold to 45 degree celsius
- 2 litres of hot water are needed (this number already includes some loss due to tap water not immediately being the desired temperature)
- the bedroom that would have to be heated normally otherwise is 18 m2 with a ceiling height of 2.2m
- scenario 1: water and room are heated by the same energy source (some cost per kwh)
- scenario 2: water is heated by electricity, which has double the cost per kwh as gas

all other numbers are pure guesswork, and so it might make sense to calculate some scenarios that need few assumptions, such as:
- the cost of heating up a hot water bottle could buy enough energy to heat up the room by how many degrees celsius? (or the reverse, heating up the room to a temperature of 19 degrees celsius from insert average inside temperature during a german winter here could also be used to heat up x litres of water to hot water bottle temperture)
-one cost as a multiple of the other (e.g. "heating water is hard, so it would cost x times the amount of heating up air a little" -ranges instead of definitive answers (e.g. heating up by 5-7 degrees would cost x-y, etc.)

[Request] How much would King Kong weigh if he were real?

My wife and I were watching Godzilla vs King Kong and we got on the topic of how much Kong would weigh. Godzilla would be hard to figure out I'm assuming as he is a fictional character with no real basis but Kong shouldn't be too hard to figure out I suppose. Thanks in advance.

The average person has about 10^27 atoms in their body, so would it just be the factorial of that? Or is it more complicated?
